Description

This Filtrete furnace air filter by 3M will effectively trap microparticles thanks to its electrostatic capabilities. In doing so, it will ensure that the air in your home remains clean and free of pet dander, smoke, and household dust. The filter also takes care of larger particles such as pollen, lint, and mould spores. It measures 16 inches by 20 inches by 1 inch and delivers up to 3 months of filtering performance. It's best to replace it seasonally to ensure that the airflow of your home remains optimal and pure. This product outperforms other 3-month, 1-inch filters as well as fibreglass, washable, and non-electrostatic pleated filters.

Are these suitable for mobile home furnaces

I'm looking for a furnace filter with dimensions of 16 x 25 and can't find them. I used the Filtrete 1000 Filtration Level. Have these been replaced by another size?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Quesokait from Made a HUGE Difference for my Small Apartment [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a teeny modern apartment 1st floor apartment that faces a courtyard & my dog loves for me to leave the patio door cracked while she sunbathes & switching from the cheap filters maintenance provides to this was instantly noticeable! My floors floors stayed cleaner longer, I didn’t have to dust things like the TV stand or blinds 3 times a week anymore, and I no longer noticed that outside/dog smell when I came in from work & the air had been turned up a bit that day! Definitely will recommend friends and continue to use these filters going forward!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in the Central Valley translates into gross and dirty air 355 days a year. Between what is pushed in from all four surrounding areas of the state as well as all of our own pollution and allergens from the crops and farms, we need good quality air filters. I have been extremely impressed with the amount of crud these filters can filter and trap. I change mine every month and a half or so, especially during fire season. They go in white and come out brownish-black. It is horrifying to think about breathing that in and what our lungs would look like. So, thanks filtrate for keeping the nasty at bay.

We don't smoke so I never realized how much more the Filtrete filter accomplishes beyond just catching dust and allergens. I own a rental property and a single older lady rents from me. To keep her from having to go up and down the basement stairs, I change the filter for her using the same type of Filtrete filter in the rental unit. I started by changing the filter every three months, but the filter was so black I moved up to every two months. Again, the filter was so dark I now change it every month. This alone is testament to how well the Filtrete 1000 filters smoke, dust, and allergens. I'm glad I use Filtrete in my home as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Old Mariner from Ladder climber! I replaced the Filtrete 1085 Air Cleaning Filter just recently (after about our typical 3 months of use). Although I normally don't write reviews to products I purchase and use regularly, clearly I'm making an exception this time. This past month and a half, we experienced a rare late season resurgence of pollen and other allergens which made our overall disposition somewhat less than amiable. The new replacement filter seems to be the reason for greatly improving our general disposition. Now, if 3M/ Filtrete can make replacements last 1 month longer, then I'll only have to use the ladder 3 times a year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by majtnkr from Longevity disappointments Although I like & have to have this filter for my house HVAC system, I find that I am changing the filter every month NOT the 3 mos it is supposed to last. I did let one set go approx 45 days, but found the old filters collapsed into the vent due to the lack of air able to pass through. They do clean the air that passes thru, but definitely NOT for 3 months! I would seriously consider another filter if available, at least to have comparison...more to follow if I do find one/some.

So much better than "regular" cheap filters that are thin and flimsy and allow particles to slide on through and around them. I have tried using the "regular" filter because I had one on hand, it was so useless that I went ahead and changed to my Filtrete Allergen Defense 1200 filter before it was time for a change. From now on for a clean home and for clean and healthy breathing, it will always, always be the Allergen 1200 filter.
