Bigger and tougher, this Gorilla® adhesive tape covers more surface area for your bigger and tougher uses. Its double-thick adhesive grips even rough and uneven surfaces. This rugged tape is weather-resistant and can withstand moisture, UV rays and extreme temperatures. Its tight weave contributes to its heft, but can still be ripped by hand. Rated 5 out of 5 by UnoTheBeagle from Excellent adhesion... so far This is the WIDE roll. I used it to repair the liner under a mobile home. (The liner is braided plastic wrap that's attached to the underside of the home. It acts as a vapor barrier, and it holds up the insulation.). I had to cut into the liner to replace wet insulation. I needed a tape that outperformed traditional duct tape. Crawling around in a confined area, under a house, is not my bag, so I wanted to do the job right the first time. (Half the success depends on technique, so I needed to make sure I had a clean dry surface.) After a week, this tape seems to be holding steady. It was recommended to me by the fellow at the mobile home supply house. For now I've rated it excellent. We'll see how it looks a year from now.

I recently purchased by first home and had to do some work underneath the house (running a water line for the ice maker). I was nervous about puncturing the vapor barrier as the builder had taken great care to ensure that it was continuous throughout the space. I could see where they'd made some minor repairs using black duct tape and a staple gun - all of which were already peeling off. The Gorilla Tape went on easily and didn't need additional mechanical fasteners to secure it. Its design make it flexible and easy to work with. I have a feeling that the tape will outlast the vapor barrier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DomeMaster from Gorilla duct tape simply the best duct tape there I bought my first roll when I was running a water test on a metal roof. It sticks to everything very well and with plastic sheet keeps water out or off from other substrate. I even use it to cover over drains in built-in gutters to water test them as well. Sticks really well and is much stronger than the grey stuff! I put some on the edges of an old camper awning that was starting to tear and a year and a half later still going strong! Their tape works as well as all their glues, which all are first rate! When it comes to tape or glues I buy only gorilla!

Rated 5 out of 5 by sgtfon from Lives up to its name I needed something to make a bed for my two 90 lb dogs. after trying a bunch of things that the dogs destroyed in about 10 mins, this tape seems to be their kryptonite since they cant chew it, scratch it or shred it. use 1229, dog bed Just be careful not to touch glue side to glue side....

We have a door we don't use and I used foam insul-board and gorilla taped it over where the door was to keep out the wind. As of right now there is a dramatic difference in temperature and I know the tape will last over the winter.

I had used several other brands of tape in this area before, but all of them peeled away from the concrete block and let the sheeting drop from the wall. This has not happened with the Gorilla Brand Tape.
