Description

This angle-iron by Precison(R) is made using carbon steel. With a thickness of 1/8", both sides of this 36" long angle bar are 1" wide. This type of product has one of the most convenient shapes for general maintenance and repair work. This right-angled metal bar can be easily cut, welded, machined or drilled, making it ideal for workbenches, shelving, bracing or structural work.

I went through three 4 craftsman batteries and was able to cut through with my Grinder. I then proceeded to use my Stick welder and made bacon. Grinded the bacon off and sprey painted the final product. It was worth every dime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by eddie1247 from Additional support A few days earlier I had purchased a 1"x3/16 piece of flat stock to raise the scrolled metal headboard on my bed and because it was flat stock the headboard had a bit of a wobble to it so I added this 1" angle to stabilize it. Painted it the same color as the headboard and the flat stock and did exactly what I hoped it would do.

I am using this to fab up some brackets for indicators on a small milling machine. The Surface is a little rough, and it took some time to wire brussh it and clean it up for painting but it's serving it's purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jerry from Angle Iron - Great for strengthening my Gun Locker I needed to modify a Stack-On Gun Locker that I bought from Walmart on the Black Friday sale so any movement of the Gun Locker after the storage of the guns would not allow them to be damaged. I had to apply some previous learned ingenuity to modify this new Gun Locker to enable my Guns to be moved across State Lines without causing any damages to my weapons. The structure of that Gun Locker slightly limited what I could do it to make it what I really wanted as far as the complete protection and Lock-Down of all of my Weapons. I utilized some 1 Inch Utility Board to provide a Molding Capability for the Butt-Stock pockets of the Gun Locker. I made 2 pieces to be stacked on top of each other so it would be capable of holding the weapons in place at the base of the Gun Locker. I utilized the 1 Inch Angle the iron to secure the two 1 Inch Utility Boards to the base of the Gun Locker. Then I utilized the Self Tapping Metal Screws to secure those Angle Iron Mounting Rails into place to hold the Utility Board – Molded Base to inside of the Gun Locker.
