Description

This powerful and compact snowblower easily handles heavy-duty snow removal. It covers from sidewalks, driveway to commercial areas. It offers a 28-in clearing width that moves 65 tons of snow per hour. The powerful 254 CC Ariens AX engine allows blowing snow up to 50 ft. Other user-friendly features include auto turn steering, electric start, remote chute control and in-dash headlight. All steel construction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Retired Jim from NICE ! NICE ! NICE ! Machine Living in Newfoundland a snowblower is a necessity or buy a condo. My Honda 928 tranny gone again 11 year old machine second time and parts are expensive so enough is enough my brother has an Ariens and I've used them before so I bought a 28 Deluxe. 37cm of snow 23 December and the 28 handled it very well and we have had 30cm since then NICE working machine easy to handle and the steering assist is very nice although I was a skeptic it's actually very nice to use. I'd give it a Five Star but it's only been 10 days ownership so far, if I get the chance to update once the winter is over I will. Also I've changed the oil and it was a breeze to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John from Nice machine but needs an update to the operator manual. I bought this to replace a 5 year old 208cc Remington. I wanted the auto turn, chute control, single handle operation and more power to go through the piles that the plow leaves. This machine delivers on all of these but the forward speed was too fast, even on low speed. The manual does not show how to slow the forward speed down. To do this, see the section in the manual 'Adjust Speed Selector Level', It should also state that if the machine travels to fast, shorten the shift rod length by turning the adjustment pivot arm clockwise a few turns. Once I did this it travels at the perfect slow speed for going through deep piled snow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by O from Does all I need it to. This is the first time I have owned a snowblower and I found the operating and safety instructions very easy to understand and follow. The machine has plenty of power to handle all the snow we have had so far in Idaho, 3 feet since Thanksgiving. The controls are straightforward and easy to use, the machine is not difficult to maneuver and the exhaust/snow chute is easy to adjust. The only thing I've had an issue with is cleaning out the snow from around the arbor when I'm done. I always wind up with a puddle of melt in my garage. It would be nice if Ariens would make a flexible brush like a bottle brush to clean out the machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Randy from Game Changer I recently purchased the Ariens deluxe 28 to replace an old 24" Craftsman. While the Craftsman did the job I needed, I did not realize how much better and productive the 28 deluxe from Ariens was. It can handle any of the snow we get here in Saskatchewan with ease and I am amazed at how far it will throw the snow. When it says up to 50' they mean it. I am able to completely clear my double wide driveway cutting my removal time down by quite a bit and it is easier on the machine as well. It starts with ease and had a lot of power. Only thing is I wish the 28 deluxe had hand warmers but not a big enough thing to worry about

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chuck from Not bad My first snow blower and it seems like a solid unit. Engine is great. Seems like it was built with the assumption you will actually change the oil - I like that. Starts easily. Build is good but it does have some things I'd like to see re-engineered. 1) throttle control. -worthless since it's hard to get to. Odd configuration also. 2) fuel cut off - it turns away from the on/off sticker. Already broke knob turning it the wrong way. Printed a new one. 3) metal fuel tank. Not a fan. Nothing like a rusty fuel tank with a dent or two. I think I made the right choice but this unit, although not perfect, it's better than the cheaper competitor's model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bruce from Nothing else compares!! My parents bought an Ariens 24" 7hp in 1972. That's when I was hooked on the Ariens brand! I bought an Ariens Deluxe 28 just before snowstorm Amelia hit Northeastern Wisconsin. I woke up to 3" of slushy wet snow on the bottom with another 3" of wet heavy snow on top. The Deluxe 28 threw it 20' like a champ! Never clogged up, never skipped a beat! What a great way to break in my new machine! Since then I've used it in several more snowstorms, most of them wet heavy snow. The Ariens Deluxe 28 surpasses my expectations. I will recommend it to anyone that needs a quality snow thro that's made right here in Wisconsin!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Roger from Homeowner Just replaced my 35 year old Snowflite which has been a great blower with a new Deluxe 28. So far so good, starts on the first pull, seems to have plenty of power, spins around on a dime when turning. I like the chute controls and the speed of the drive gears seem ok, maybe just a bit fast in #1 . The only reason I am giving it a 4 is this. On the level and going up my inclined driveway all is good in the way it pulls but going down the incline it seems to be grabbing and will jerk either right or left a bit, feels almost like I am hitting a crack or frozen ice. I can deal with this but could this be a problem?

I have to say you never realize how bad you old Snowblower was until you have a top quality one like this. I have read reviews and watched videos but actually running the Snowblower ads an entire new level of appreciation to the quality. Mine is brand new it was used 3 times before I grabbed it. And I love this machine. My only complaint is I wish the handles were a couple inches taller. I am 6'5" and so I have to bend slightly other than that I would not change a thing. I have never seen a blower throw this much snow.
