Description

The Aube non-programmable digital thermostat allows precise temperature control for your electric baseboards with a maximum power of 2000 W (240 V). Featuring 2 non-polarized wires, installation is easy. The device is 100% silent and offers a precision of +/- 0.15 °C. The temperature setting remains stable, without any fluctuation, meaning that you will save up to 10% on your electricity bills. Backed by a 3-year limited warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by spisan from Display turns off I replaced an old thermostat with this one in a basement bathroom and shower. It is not obvious what the problem is but every couple of days the display goes blank and I have no idea if it is working or what temperature is set. I cycle the baseboard power via the breaker panel and the display returns and all seems normal again, without it forgetting the temperature setting I had. I don't know if the humidity from showers causes the fault or just poor circuit construction. I'm getting fed-up so I'll shop for a replacement from a different brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mario41 from Hésitant à recommander J'ai acheté ce thermostat chez Rona il y a une dizaine d'année et j'en ai toujours été satisfait jusqu'à la semaine dernière... À 2:30h du matin je vais à la salle de bain et il y fait 28 degrés et le thermostat, qui était ajuster au minimum (5 degrés) fonctionne au maximum. J'ai beau essayer d'abaisser la température, rien à faire. Je suis finalement descendu au sous-sol et j'ai fermé le "breaker". Après une quinzaine de minutes j'ai remis le "breaker" et le problème persistait donc je suis retourné fermer le "breaker". J'ai fait une recherche sur Internet et semblerait que je ne sois pas le seul à qui c'est arrivé avec le TH209. Je trouve curieux de ne pas voir de rappel pour ce modèle. Comme c'est le seul format que je peux mettre à cause de la position de la boite électrique je vais me risquer à en acheter un autre mais je risque d'avoir le sommeil léger... J'ai rapporté l'incident à Santé Canada, ils vont enquêter. J'ai peut-être été juste malchanceux, on verra!

Need to have some kind of calibration as both display the wrong temps. However as soon as you remove the faceplate, the temps come down. So the units are not venting properly. Bad design. Also backlight should be a standard. I highly regret my purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jim NL from Aube- Aube Non-Programmable Thermostat 240V-2000W- We had 10 of these thermostats installed in our home 3 years ago. We have a heat pump for our primary heat so these thermostats are never used for our main heating source. We have all of the thermostats set at 13 degrees F. One of the thermostats cut in after 3 years of non usage and now the base heater doesn't cut out (turn off) at all. I am now concerned about the other thermostats and wondering if I should replace them all because of a possible fire hazard. 100 percent disappointed and worried at this point. The thermostats were installed by a certified electrical contractor.
