Bar Clamp is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok, but not great These clamps work fine. They hold your work pieces tight for gluing. My issue with Irwin clamps are the bars - They only sell the bars with the handle/clamps. So I have to buy multiple sets of different lengths. I should be able to buy a set of handle/clamps and bars of different sizes so I can use the same handles/clamps on different size projects. This would also help with the pricing. Although these are easier to use than the pipe-style clamps, I can use various pipe lengths as needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't have enough clamps, but no more of these I have dozens of Quick-Grip clamps of varying sizes, and for the most part, they are pretty good. However, I have a relatively new 2.25 inch clamp that just bit the dust. I squeezed the handle to apply clamping pressure when the handle just snapped. It fractured at the point where the handle enters the main clamp body. I expect this to happen to the cheap clamps that I sometimes foolishly buy at the Harbor (HF), but not with these clamps. Maybe I should just chalk it up to one out of dozens, but I am not convinced this is a one-off. We will see. But I'm disappointed in this one. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the pivoting jaws. Guess I'll head down to the Harbor to buy a cheap replacement. None of them have broken (yet).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like another set of hands. You can never have to many of this kind of clamps. So easy to use that a caveman can use it. Ask for a pair for Christmas this year. Great idea and well worth the price but still wish it was a little cheaper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My old Irwins needed help I needed more than the four I've had since 2002... so I bought a couple of the newer Irwin Quick Clamps. Best that I own! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can never have enough clamps I continue to be impressed with these clamps. The clamp pads come off and I pamper them - I've had one split and fall off. I keep buying them. I'm always surprised at how often I use them, and how many times I need a whole bunch of them. I own about a dozen of various lengths. I recommend you buy longer than you need. You always end up clamping larger things. I wish they would sell replacement pads. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for moderate tasks I have several other similar clamps by this manufacturer, but the Heavy Duty type. I purchased the 36” medium or moderate duty clamp as it was on sale. When used to clamp the sides of a 28 inch book shelf, thinner support bar bent slightly under the stress. I will reserve this one for lighter jobs. Otherwise it is made well and works as intended. I’ll stick with the heavy duty type in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stick to a screw handled clamp Have used Jorgensen clamps for decades. Needed a size I didn't have and this was the only brand in the store. Hated it. The 'one handed quick release trigger' required a hammer to release. For light duty projects I suspect this clamp would be fine, but it you actually need a clamp for pulling together two components with any resemblance of pressure, stick to a screw/turning handle clamp.
