This coffee maker does a great job at soaking the grounds, extracting the golden goodness that most of us need to jump start our day. It is easy to program. You just set the time you want it to kick off and you're done. We went to this one after having two coffee pots that had insulated carafes. This one doesn't keep the coffee hot as long as those carafes did, but for the price it does a decent job. Easy to operate. Easy to clean. Easy to program. You can also pack it along when camping if you have a power source to run it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At this price point, you would expect just the basic coffeemaker, but this actually has more features. Has a clock, and is programmable for delayed brewing. Which is great to set for the next morning. The vortex feature, has increased water flow, which makes the coffee taste better. The water doesn’t just flow in the middle, it flows around the the whole filter. You can set for a stronger cup of coffee as well. Has auto shut off feature. Sneak a cup feature, for when you just can’t wait for the whole pot to brew. Makes up to 12 cups. I like the compact size, doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. Works well, coffee tastes good.

However, the power on light is very dim and hard for me to see. As a senior citizen with less than perfect eyesight, I have to be very cautious.

It has digital controls for quick touch programing, just set the clock and program the auto brew system at the touch of a button to brew now or later. It also has an auto shut off system. It has a sneak a cup feature where you can pause the brew to grab a cup and then continue the brew where you left off. It has a vortex technology to optimize water flow and in turn enrich the saturation making for maximun flavor. It has a brew strenght selector, the brew basket is dishwaher safe and it has built in cord storage. A great addition to any kitchen.

The vortex water flow technology is great and guarantees maximum flavor for your coffee. My two favorite things about it is the strong setting which allows you to control the strength of your coffee, and the sneak a cup feature because I'm able to sneak my cup in before everyone else. The timer works really well and helps to insure my coffee will be ready in the mornings when I am and just a few short minutes. Overall I think this coffee maker is great and highly recommend it.

Although the materials feel sort of flimsy for Black and Decker, the way it works is amazing. It's fast and easy to pour water into. It has a strong button for those who like an extra kick to their day and is sleek. It has vortex technology which allows it to flow water through the coffee much better. You can also grab a cup before it's done brewing if you're feeling a bit impatient. It also has an auto-off feature, for worriers—overall a great product.
