Rated 5 out of 5 by Tony from Plenty of torque to go around [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my 20 Gal 200 psi compressor and air gun that I would use to swap out my winter/summer tires on my SUV. One small tool replaced all that equipment. The 2 Amp battery pack that came with the tool is good enough to remove 2 sets of tires but does not have enough juice to take off all 4 tires in 1 shot which is 25 bolts. I'm looking to buy the 4amp battery of even the 6.3 amp battery pack which I know will do the trick. Thankfully I had two 2 amp battery packs that I was able to swap out in order to get the job done without having to wait to recharge. The tool is light and fits in my hand like a glove. I'm glad I bought the tool. It has worked wonders.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TG from Disappointing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this on sale and it seemed like quite a bargain. However it failed at everything I tried to do with it. It is rated for equivalent of 133 ft-lbs, but would not loosen lug nuts which were torqued to only 75. Driving a lag bolt, it slowed and struggled mightily; my mid-range Bosch 18V drill then drove it home in no time. This driver's chuck is finicky, and larger than it needs to be. A 1/2" square drive is of no use with this little torque. After a few days I had found no value in this tool and returned it. I tried to stick with Bosch but now I own a yellow tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Villageois from Très efficace J'avais une visseuse 18V avec percussion mais ça ne pouvait que donner des résultats partiels car une visseuse sera toujours une visseuse. La visseuse à chocs fait très bien lorsqu'il s'agit de visser des vis avec percussion dans le bois mais elle n'est vraiment pas faite pour faire de l'ouvrage commerciale. Pour faire cet ouvrage, il faut alors utiliser une visseuse à chocs commerciale. Hier, j'avais une centaine de vis de 4 pouces à installer sur des 2 X 3 de 8'. J'ai prépercé les trous avec une toute petite mèche pour faciliter le travail de cet outil. Tout s'est très bien déroulé et au moment de finir le travail, j'ai réalisé que la pile n'avait perdu que 60% de sa capacité.

Kind of a pain to be stuck with one brand if you want to be able to swap your batteries around, but it is what it is. Even with the smaller battery, this impact driver lasts a fairly long time. So far it has been working well and I am happy with it. The quick change is convenient and I like the convenience of the toggle for reversing the direction (it's easier to push with your thumb).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike from Finally a cordless, hose-less lug nut wrench [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bosch has been a go to brand for me the past 20 years mostly corded tools. When I saw this and did a little research, 1600 inch lbs = 166 ft lbs is plenty of torque to remove and install tires. It is lightweight and well balanced. Some may comment that the battery is small but for the cost and when you are a DYI on the weekends its perfect for doing brake jobs or just removing tires to clean rims. I am even considering putting one in my wifes trunk and teaching her how to use in case she has a flat. It is not safe anymore to accept help unless it is a patrol-person (PC correct).

I was using my 200 PSI compressor to change my summer/winter rims and got fed up with lugging my 15 Gal compressor and air hose around each time. There's enough battery juice to remove and install the wheel nuts. I also use it for contractor work and it does a great job with it's versatile socket. A great addition to my family of cordless Bosch tools.The carrying bag is sturdy. The impact driver fits well in my hand and does not feel heavy at all. It's got a rugged exterior shell and it came with a battery and charger to boot. The battery itself has a battery life indicator on the back so you know when it's time to re-charge. The only thing this tool can't do is make me a sandwich other than that it's awesome.

Versatile for switching back and forth. Has enough power for screws or lags. 18V versus 12V with a little more torque than the common 1/4" shank designs. The sale price is proportionate to the product being purchased. Middle of the road size and not heavy with a decent warranty. Has the slide in battery design and comes with a nice bag. IMPROVEMENTS? The light doesn't come on unless the trigger is pulled with the driver turning. The light goes off when the trigger is released with no delay. This is also an old style drill remodeled as "new" to revamp sales on a old brush dinosaur design platform. Battery size could be bigger with only 1 battery provided. I guess this helps with cost & balance. This reduces weight but also reduces time usage. The 1/4" bit drive is not a quick push in and question the longevity of the locking rubber sleeve. Can't check battery charge when on the charger. BAD? The impact starts at resistance, which makes it difficult to use as a typical screw driver that makes it loud. Border line for applications like wheel lug removal with recommendations not to use for such. Only has trigger speed that is slow compared to the others unless you jump up to the brush-less design. OPINION? Not a bad impact driver for the size and price when on sale. This driver is stuck between a smaller 1/4" driver and larger 1/2" impact drive with not knowing what it wants to be when it grows up. Will be ideal for removing crate screws and bolts per what I purchased it for but might be impractical for common usage with not being best of either world. Great if you are using for middle of the road applications without needing specific tools.

On one job, myself and my partner were driving 20,000 screws every week. I had dropped it many times, and pretty much abused the fire out of it for about five years. I'm looking forward to doing the same thing to this tool. I make my living using tools, and Bosch has been my tool of choice for 40+ years.
