Bostitch Pneumatic Roofing Nailer - 15° Angle - Tool-Free Depth Adjustment - Dual Door Magazine is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 Thousand Nails Later Put over four thousands nails through this gun with only two jams throughout the whole job, I put a little oil in the air inlet and didn't have a problem for the rest of the day..After that I put in a little at the start of each day and it worked just fine. The other issues that I had were due to the inconsistent pressure output from my so-called 'professional' air compressor that I purchased from HF, but that is a different issue altogether. I am extremely pleased with this roofing nailer, the only thing that could make it better was having a swivel air hose attachment to make getting into tight spaces easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roofing Nailer Minimal problem with nailer. Liked the price was much less than other coil nailers. Easy to setup & use. Used on 2+ square shingle job. Only problem I had was on last nail on couple of the nail coils. One nail some how did 180 degree flip and got jammed in the gun hammer mechanism. Took a few minutes to clear with hammer & dowel pin, driving the air gun hammer mechanism back into up/home position. Had another last nail try to do similar. For non-professional, I think this is an excellent nail gun & recommend purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bostitch Roofing Nail Gun - 2015 With the son-in-law wanting to save a few bucks by reroofing his garage, so he asked for my help even though I can no longer get up there for health reasons and he knew it. He said that all I had to do was hand the shingles up to him two at a time as we went along. Well, the wife and I had to go to Lowe's for a few items when she asked where they kept the nailing guns. I took her back to them and about froze when I saw the prices. She didn't flinch one bit. She looked at this gun and then the Hitachi at about $50 more. She came back to this one. Luckily, the store showed two in the inventory, but actually only had one. So we purchased the gun along with the nails and a few bottles of oil and dropped it all off at my son-in-laws house for the next day. When we got home that night, I decided to read the reviews and was dismayed at how many couldn't seem to get it to perform as it should have. Then I noticed the dates. Many of the reviews were three or more years old. And how many of the reviewers took this item back and grabbed the Hitachi. Fearing the worst, I took along an extra male coupling to fit the air hose on my compressor (many of the reviews stated that the nailer right out of the box didn't have the coupling like other manufacturers models) , and proceeded to go at it. I was surprised to see that Bostitch payed attention to the numerous complaints. I threw some oil in it, made a few adjustments. Practiced on a piece of scrap lumber and AWAY WE WENT. It worked like a champ after a few more minor adjustments, and the few times that it did fail was attributed to operator or should I say supervisor error ( me on the ground ). I forgot to turn the compressor back on a couple of times when we took a break. With the sun ( the temps hit 100 that day ) beating down on everyone (my daughter came and gave her husband a hand up on the roof sorting and laying shingles and nailing things down when she got the chance) the job went quite fast. What would have been an almost 12 hour job by hand and hammer, turned into just a little over 6 hour job. So here's the deal with this gun - KEEP IT OILED (every time you load a new coil of nails, one squirt of oil). Keep your pressure at a steady 100 pounds. Make ALL of your adjustments on a scrap piece of lumber prior to starting the job. When replacing the coil of nails - ALWAYS! ALWAYS REMOVE THE SOURCE OF POWER!! In this case, disconnect the air hose from the gun. My son-in-law couldn't understand this part, but after I explained to him the safety issues involved, and that as long as I was in the area, if he didn't abide by my rules and I happened to get hurt because of him, my daughter would have to visit him in the hospital. All things said, this is a great little gun once you get it set up. Have a great time on your roof. Play it safe. And enjoy it for years to come. PS....I've got two sheds that will need new roofs next year, so for payback, I have my crew already picked out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from EXPECT SOME UNEVEN ISTALATION I first bought a HITACHI and it work perfect even for a professional installation but we need an extra one and saw this one and I ask for some assistance TREE TIMES I was there for an hour and NO ONE CAME so I use the EMPLOYES ONLY LADDER AND PICKED IT UP MY SELF AND STAR TO USE IT INMEDIATLY BUT AFTER 10 MINUTES I notice that the roof shingle was uneven and check the shingle spacer in the gun, IT MOVED and was like 1 1/2 difference so we waist like $200 in material cause the freaking SPACER IS SO WEACK SO BETTER SPEND A LITTLE MORE AN GET ONE W BETTER SPACER A SOLID ONE
