Rated 5 out of 5 by PappyD from Can Taste The Difference! We purchased the "Grand" model as a way of cutting back on the plastic bottles we have everywhere. Thought about installing an under sink filter but really just need better drinking water. Also, adding a designated spigot for an under sink filter would require drilling into a granite top adding to the cost. So, we wanted to give this Brita Grand a try. About a week into this filter and we really like it. We also did a blind taste test with everyone picking out the filtered water. I was pleasantly surprised that I could tell the difference! We are on city water (Westfield, IN) which is very hard but essentially safe. We do have a whole house softener but the kitchen cold water line bypasses the softener. Very good purchase with super results so far!

I appreciate that I can use the water I pay my city for, and that I am not adding to the landfill with plastic bottles. I can definitely taste the difference in the regular tap water and the Brita purified water. The purified water just tastes WET! I use the water to drink, make coffee and tea and to cook with. There is a definite taste difference. I only gave the pitcher 4 stars, because the design isn't great. You have to take the top off to pour the water out of the pitcher. There is a little hinge that I suppose is to keep the top on the pitcher. It doesn't work. The filter monitor on the top doesn't stay put either. Otherwise, the filtered pitcher seems to be getting the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Richierich03 from Excellent water filter system! Had a similiar model which I broke but had for many years. This one gives me even better tasting water. Easy to set up and use. After awhile you easily learn how much water the pre filter side will hold but filling can be challenging. Cartridge set up is easy. I soak the cartridge in water first, give it a small rinse and install it. I found similiar filters last long and you get more like 50 gallons before the water starts to taste lousy. A lot depends on your water supply. Some days we have a very heavy smell and taste of chlorine. Right after I set it up I tried the water and it tasted great. My friend was over and said it was the best tasting water ever. I have a super filter on my refrigerator water dispenser and a reverse osmosis filter system but this pitcher gives us better tasting water! Have to give Brita a lot of credit!

I didn’t want to go the whole big ticket water filter system, so this works great. Coffee and water taste much better. I bought extra filters to have them around when I need them.

My previous Brita pitcher lasted for YEARS before I needed to make this replacement. Workmanship has really gone downhill. Water filtration is still great but pitcher doesn’t last.

Clean, clear good tasting water. We have sulphur water but you wouldn't know it after it is filtered through this pitcher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SS89 from Water filter It is a good product for filtering your drinking water, but it is a little awkward to hold and open the lid up while refilling it. If you can sit it down during refilling it's not quite as bad but otherwise a little bit of a task.
