Rated 2 out of 5 by Jaybird from Please open! It appears that this unit is just poorly designed when in practical use. Like others, the box becomes absolutely impossible to open while hot. I have to take it out and bring down the temperature for the metal to return enough to it's original state to open. Taking the smoke box out for that long kind of defeats the purpose. I suppose I could just keep a second one at the ready and swap them out - but why pay for two when the original should work!jaybird

Rated 4 out of 5 by KDQ11 from Great smoker box [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the design of the smoker box and that it straddles the burners and can fit under the cooking grates. We use it regularly and love the added flavour. The only issue is we leave a grate section off to give us easy access so we don't have the full cooking area available. If it doesnt exist aready, it would be great to have something to easily pickup the grate, so that the smoker can be easily filled. Ironically, my son now works for Napolean and he has taken aspects from my BK and submitted them as product idea changes. I have a design idea I came up with and would love to share with BK if there is an avenue available.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Charley from Almost A Great Smokerbox Nice design and well made. However, after it heats up the lid will not open easily when you want to refill the smoker. At ambient temperature the lids opens smoothly with no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MWeston from Best smoker box I've tried! This smoker box fits nicely on the heat tamers, therefore requiring little heat to get it smokin'! You have to experiment with the heat so you don't have the chips go up in flames. Excellent product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ckranz from Takes the party up a notch [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smokerbox makes adding flavor to your dinner quite exciting. I was able to add different flavor logs/wood chips and was able to complete change up my grilling etiquette and pallet. We so far have grilled salmon and flank steak and the flavors are completely tantalizing. I like that the smokerbox component sits under my grill rack and essentially encompasses the whole grill, not just one area or the meat itself. I did find it slightly challenging to add more chips to the box when we were in the middle of grilling, however I only needed to do this when we smoked our steaks just due to the fact it took a bit longer to cook them all the way through and we wanted a more intense flavor. The smokerbox however is easy to clean due to it being stainless steel and very easy to initiate use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be honest, I love the idea of smoking meat, but I am not interested enough to commit to buying a smoker and storing it somewhere. That being said, the premium smoker box is the perfect fit for that! I am a bit of a chicken and won't use it alone because it feels rather dangerous to refill the smoker box with more chips....but it's great for when my brave husband is home!
