Build and Grow Kid's Wooden Monster Truck Building Kit is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 115.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a kids project, it's not perfect I did this with my Grandkids and we had a lot of fun. That was my original intent. But keep in mind this is a kids project and these are never going to be perfect. The biggest issue I had was that the holes were not deep enough in all places. The wood splits easily and if the holes are not deep enough the increased forces to drive the nail splits the wood. I had two kits and recognized this early on and got out my drill so the issue wasn't that big a deal for me. And the kids had a lot of fun with Grandpa and that is probably all that really matters. And they learned a bit about tools and directions and how to build something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from monster truck My 4 year old daughter picked this project at Lowe's yesterday. We put the truck together this morning after laying out and identifying all the pieces and sorting the nails (two extra of each size). She was able to do all the hammering - although I would seat each nail. We used a random board at home to hammer on - so it didn't leave marks on the floor. She painted it Purple per her request, and put the stickers on - all today. My only request - on the stickers - there are 3 options for side stickers, could there be an additional set for the windshield and side windows - with a girl/female character? as we are not the first females to assemble this based on the reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Baby shower game for the men We were having a coed baby shower. I wanted a game the men could play. So I purchased a few of these wooden toys. I then had the men assemble the toy as fast and as well as they can. The first to finish would win but only if the toy could stay together. My idea is the men normally would have to put cribs and other items together, for the baby. Let's see how well they can put a toy together. Everyone cheered for their husband and laughed along as some fell apart. It was a great way and a totally different game to bring everyone together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Project for My Granddaughter & I Seen these kits near the end cap. When I was looking for an open reg. Got home & show her what it was She had a smile from ear to ear. Now she's only 2yr. The Project kit is recommend for children 5+. I took a chance and like I said, before she loved it. Her Dad & I were putting hard wood flooring & we were running behind. But seeing my granddaughter trying to open he package & try to do it herself. I stopped what I was doing and we found us a little work table so we could assemble the 'Big 4 wheel drive Truck'. As we put it together. I can see she was learning. She put the truck together by looking at the pictures, she even push the nails in the holes as far as she could. I showed her how to use the hammer. She was pounding away. Once she got tired Pop-Pops took over the nailing. This was a cashable moment for me, that I want forget for a long time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time and $ My son has all of the Build and Grow series. This truck is not up to the standards of the others. We bought a second and it was just as bad - so not a defective product the first time. The wheels and axles are particularly poor and make the truck unusable. The nails are substandard for the project. Frustration for child and parent. Lowes should take a look at this item and fix it or discontinue carrying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Girls like Trucks To My girl scout girls asked to make cars like the boy scouts do i found these and thought they would like the truck better, And boy did they. They had lots of fun putting them together and even more fun painting them. We did have to use some smaller nails for the roll bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent kit My 5 yr old grandson and I assembled the whole truck in about 15 minutes with no problems. He did about 95% of all the hands-on work, but I don't think he could have done it without me reading the directions and showing him what needed to be done and how to do it. It was an excellent grandfather/5 yr old grandson project. The finished truck has survived MANY deliberate, but fun, crashes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Monster Truck [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If the Wheels are not perfectly lined up they wont spin well. If you hammer the wheels even slightly too hard you will split the axle.
