I cook everyday and wanted appliances that not only looked good but worked. And so far, all is great. We replaced our microwave/vent hood with this unit and couldn't be happier. It is much more quiet and vents so much better than the microwave/vent hood did. The light is bright. We purchased the extender due to our ceiling height. It looks good. But, wish it had an option to come in the same width as the vent itself. It wasn't a deal breaker though. Just think it would have given the vent hood an even prettier presence in our kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we designed our new kitchen, we knew we wanted stylish and stunning appliances as well as a hood that's a showstopper. Thanks to Café, that's exactly what we created! This hood really completes our kitchen. It vents incredibly well while I'm cooking. However, the feature I think we use the most is the lighting on it. We love the soft light at night in the kitchen. If you have the room for a hood, add this for sure. Coupled with the double oven, it's truly breathtaking! Hard to believe appliances can be breathtaking, but they can be when it's Café!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rlk6135 from It does the job Initial install the fan motors were defective, very, very noisy. GE sent techs out who confirmed defective and ordered replacement fans. Problem is, techs said they couldn’t replace the fans/motors w/o removing the entire hood, which they wouldn’t do. Pointed out to techs hood does NOT Ned to be removed to deinstalled/reinstall the fans. They weren’t interested in listening. Called my handyman guy to come give me a hand and the fans were replaced w/o removing the hood and now works fine. Product is good, GE customer service & tech are awful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cindy in Columbus from Not worth the price I bought it some time ago with d/w, stove, advantium oven etc Our kitchen redo took a long time… the hood is missing the flu ( you have to order it separately and they aren’t available!!) the hood is no where up to the high output burners on the range… my kitchen is constantly full of smoke, grease and smoke alarms blaring…

However, it took many, many months for our appliances to arrive and when they did we discovered the hood duct cover is sold separately. It is on order now but delayed (we have been waiting 3 months and counting for the cover...latest update is another month). Hoping it comes soon so we can finally have our kitchen remodel done. Suggestion: it should be more clear on the website and brochure that the duct cover is sold separately.

The hood is sleek , looks amazing, easy to clean and wowza it is powerful!. I saw that people were surprised it did not have more tech like options for the controls but to be honest, i love the dials . I would rather have those over a touchscreen for a hood. The light having a couple options is nice, for evening and day. The range of speeds for the fan are more then sufficient for clearing out all the smells from your cooking creations out of your home.
