Description

Enjoy the unmistakable flavour of charcoal-grilled meats with this Char-Griller Legacy grill. It features a stainless steel temperature gauge that monitors internal heat, so you don't have to open the lid halfway while cooking. The triple-wall insulated-steel design keeps heat inside the grill while you're cooking to enhance the taste of your meats. In addition, you can easily position the charcoal tray to the desired heat level with the built-in adjustment crank. The grill includes a removable ash pan and 2 sturdy locking casters. It's covered by a 5-year limited warranty on the body and a 1-year limited warranty on all other parts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brian from So far so good! I have used this grill 3 times so far. The cooking space is great. I can sear a steak perfect and move it to the good sized top rack to finish indirect. A little learning curve getting used to a different brand grill, temp control is good now. Only 3 things that I do not like, I would have liked to see it made out of a little thicker steel. But it works, We will see how it holds temp this winter. The other item it the hinge stops for the lid. They seem a little on the weak side. Like if you open it too fast, you might bend the hinges. Last item is the lid not sealing well. Which is an easy fix, I already ordered the gasket rope to remedy that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JamesD from Great grill for a great price I've had my grill for 6 years. It's definitely the best grill I've owned. There is plenty of room to cook for a party. The features for adjusting the height of the coals, ability to lift one of three grates separately, adjusting air flow from either side, and removing the ash tray by itself makes this a very versatile grill. When I first bought my grill, the lower shelf was dented. Customer service sent me a new one after sending them pics. The enameled grates have held up nicely these past 6 years. My only complaint is I wish the front door was big enough and also the charcoal tray could be lowered enough to insert more charcoal onto the coal tray.

Heat thermometer Adjustable charcoal tray Sliding ash collection tray Large grilling surface Air flow adjustments Two serving platforms My only complaint is the the grill is specked to a max. 400 degrees. I need a minimum of 500 degrees for steaks. Intense heat will damage the charcoal tray and the ash collection tray over time. I add a steel mesh and steel plate to help support and survive the heat. Rated 2 out of 5 by Grill Sergeant from It works, nothing to write home about, Ill take a Weber. I was given this grill by a friend who didn't want to lug it around when moving. I was excited to have a bigger grill for the big cookouts because my grill is just a small Weber 18" kettle. I find it to be pretty hard to screw up a charcoal grill when a Weber kettle has set the standard but Char-Griller certainly has. The seal from the lid on this model is a joke and smoke pours out of all the cracks. Even with a mountain of charcoal burning red, internal temps only seem to maintain 300 degrees. The intake vents are also a joke and have 0 seal and you wont be saving any left over charcoal. Is it a good charcoal grill? Yes. Would I ever tell anyone to get it over a Weber 22" kettle? Absolutely not.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bill from Warped Charcoal Tray Bought this grill Oct 2020 and have only used it two times to grill. After first use, noticed the charcoal tray was warped. Thought that was odd since it's a charcoal tray and should be designed to withstand heat temperatures without warping. Submitted a warranty claim with photo of damage and claim was denied. Was told that if it was a defect in the material that the tray would have been damaged out of the box. And since the claims person determined that couldn't be the case, it was my fault for overheating the grill which I do not agree with because I didn't overheat the grill. This was my first time buying a grill from this company...never again. I have an older Kingsford grill that I have owned since 2013 and never had any issues with parts warping. Chargriller you have lost a customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by RonS from Charcoal tray apparently not designed for heat????? I have enjoyed using this grill several times a year for the past few years. It has never been out in the weather; never gotten wet. But apparently the charcoal tray is made so cheaply that over a few years, while the rest of the structure is perfectly intact, it rusts out. Who would market such a piece of junk? If your goal is to market a reliable product, this is a failure you should be embarrassed to have your name on. A heat tray that can't take the heat??? Are you serious?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tom from Best Grill I've ever owned!!! We got it assembled quickly and seasoned it per the instructions in the manual. Thermometer and bezel were missing but a quick email to customer service took care of that and 48 hrs later I received the parts. Just used the grill for the first time tonight and man it's awesome. Even though it's bigger than the one it's replacing, I'm using about the same amount of charcoal and it cooks more thoroughly and evenly then the old one. The height adjustment for the charcoal pan is excellent. I'm seeing my family & I grilling more than we have in the past. Next up is adding the smoker box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grill Master Mike from Great Gill This grill is great for me because of the way my Dad and my Grand Dad taught me to cook while I was growing up. This grill can be successfully set up for indirect heat/cooking(Brisket,Shoulder,full 12lb bird). However it seems to me that the dynamics of this grill lend themselves to high heat searingly juicy done to the bone crispy skin chicken and fish.(Fillets of Salmon,Red Fish, Striped Bass, Red Snapper) ;Spare ribs cooked to a turn. It maintains and holds heat efficiently and uniformly....every coal burns to white ash..any flame flash strictly handled via air flow vents and solid basic "tight" construction... A well constructed charcoal stove as I have cooked the above on my stove since I have had it.
