Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from So many design flaws! This is one of the worst coffee makers made! It has several design flaws. For example, when pouring coffee at any speed, the lip dribbles coffee all over my counter. When you open the filter basket cover at anytime after brewing, all the condensation runs down the cover and onto the top of the water reservoir and down the sides of the coffee maker. When I pre-fill the water reservoir the night before, I wake to find the coffe maker sitting in a puddle of water as about one cup of water leaks out overnight. I bought it because of the removable water reservoir and because of the brand name. Clearly, Kitchenaid is not the quality it used to be. Junk!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anna from Design Flaws I had to return this coffee maker for several reasons. 1) It beeps a sharp tone very loudly when turned on to brew. Then it beeps 3 more times when it is done brewing. Finally, It beeps when the warmer shuts off. Very disturbing to the household in the morning. 2) There are two lids. One over the grounds, and another over the water reserve. When you lift the front lid over the grounds to empty it, water condensation pours all over the back lid and all over the top of the coffee pot. 3) I also didn't like that I had to press the Bold button every time. While I am a huge Kitchen Aid fan, they missed the boat on this one. 1st, the clock will not keep time, so the programmable feature is useless. 2nd, when the pot is full and you go to pour boiling hot coffee into your cup, the pot dribbles hot coffee all over the counter. 3rd, the removable tank is cumbersome and messy. I would just pour water from the pot into the tank, but the pot is a dribble pot and I just end up with water all over the counter. So, I am using it because of the cost of the machine, but clearly, not satisfied as I am with my other Kitchen Aid purchases.

I bought this coffeemaker roughly a month ago & to be honest I was on the fence about which coffeemaker to purchase. There was one that just brewed one cup at a time & I thought that I would probably quickly regret that decision. But, I guess the big decision came down to the brand & really that is why I chose KitchenAid. Because, quite honestly, most of the coffeemakers that I looked at had similar features. So, I had to ask myself, which coffeemaker will be the most durable & basically "go the distance" that made the decision pretty easy at that point. It was very easy to set up & it brews a perfect pot of coffee every time. I am confident I made the right decision!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Happy in Idaho from Good Coffee Maker I have had this coffee maker for about 8 months. For overall usage I like it. The coffee timer is awesome and works like a charm. Keeps coffee hot for two hours before it will automatically turn off, which is a great feature, in case I forget to turn it off when I leave for work. The two cons I have is when you pour from the carafe it will leak water and/or coffee, so I have to use a paper towel to catch the drips. It will also burn your hand from the steam when you try and get the very last drop. I have learned to just know this and take precautions. Overall, I am happy with this product. Rated 3 out of 5 by ThomToronto from Good mechanics, bad design I bought this coffee maker in August of 2015. It has brewed coffee reliably ever since. But ... from the very first use I noticed a design flaw: condensation forms outside the filter basket and then drips down when the carafe is removed. It is not coffee that is dripping, it's just water. But it's annoying. Must keep a cloth or sponge at the ready every time the carafe is removed. After about a year of use, the LED display lost brightness (the light got dim). It still works, but it's almost impossible to read unless the kitchen is in darkness. I suspect this is a result of having all the electronic controls right over the carafe, with steam rising right into the area.

See my previous post on the first model KCM1202OB and they replaced it with this one. This Review is on the KCM111OB its the 2nd unit and is being replaces once again! Same issue lots of steam and slow drip 30 min. or longer to get a pot. My first review with the KCM1202OB tells my story. No more Kitchen Aid coffee makers for me, they make a great mixer though but I will say the customer service is great just not so much the Coffee machine. Rated 5 out of 5 by ppaula413 from BEST COFFEE MAKER EVER!!!!! I saw the coffee maker online and knowing that it is a "Kitchen Aid" brand, I researched a little deeper. Upon reading all of the positive reviews, i ordered it. Boy oh boy..... We love our coffee maker. The machine is on more often than it is off. The temperature of the coffee, whether fresh brewed or two hours old, is very hot. Just the way coffee is supposed to be served. The cleaning feature is automatic, which makes for excellent taste, cup after cup. The "bold" feature really makes a strong cup of Joe. In short, we love our purchase, and would recommend our coffee maker brand and model to everyone..... Kudo's Kitchen Aid!!!!!!! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
