Ecological Attributes

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marg from Looks just like wood, but better [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product over a month ago in hopes that we would not have to rebuild our deck again in a few years. Tired of wood splinters we choose the Trex boards. The color was just the look I wanted with its weathered wood appearance. It reminded me of barn-wood. The grey color has a little brown tones to it. These deck boards are thick and have the tongue and groove feature. The texture allows the water to run off and not soak in to the board. The boards do not get hot like wood, no splinters and they are easy to clean.

I love low maintenance materials. I also don't want to have to replace it within 5 years because boards are warped. Using Trex Transcend Gravel Path Deck Board will give me that luxury. I do love the gray color of our sample board, but it would be awesome if I could get a color close to the shade of our siding. I am just elated that I have found our decking material!!

I was suprised with how heavy and solid it is for the size. I like this grey and it maches pretty good to my current farmers porches wood stain. I would highly recommand checking this product out, it seems solid and like it will hold up and be long lasting.

We were able to place the board outside and see how it handled the weather, sun etc. We were also able to see if the color meshed with our backyard and house. Looks easy to install as well if we decide to undertake the project.

It would be fabulous for decking. I don't think it would ever need replacing. The color is all the way through so no need for re staining every year. Durable and washable. All around great product.

I can see a deck with this material lasting a long long time. The color is perfect and it feels well when I step on it. You will never have to worry about splinters with this deck board

Looks long lasting and resembles real wood but looks more durable than real wood. It seems scratch and stain resistant. The color grey is gorgeous. I received a sample to analyze and give my honest opinion.
