Rated 5 out of 5 by Matt from Buyer beware of the "HP" rating. This Craftsman brand out performed the brand name shop vacs I bought. Tech Note: please pay close attention to the horsepower rating (HP) when purchasing a Shop-Vac. Most standard residential wiring 120v 15A can only put out 3.5 horsepower as the maximum power. Even if you were to purchase a higher horsepower Shop-Vac, in order to get that HP output, your residential house wire gauge must be bigger and your circuit breaker must be larger. Even if the motor on your shop vac is for anything higher than 3.5 hp, you will not get that out of residential 120 v 15 amp circuit breakers! Don't buy something that your residential house wiring cannot achieve, or you will be wasting money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Adam from Not Great The motor feels underpowered. The foam wet filter sleeve is extremely cheap & tore before I was able to use it. Also, the two attachments it comes with are terrible; neither one has very much suction. The smaller attachment does have removable bristles but they come off during use because the bristles are so stiff, they catch on material - this also makes it very difficult to use in general. Furthermore, this shop vac has no device to hold the hose or even the power cord - the cord comes only with a small velcro strap.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DoubtfulCraftsman from CMXEVCVVJC809 NO filters anywhere I have loved the craftsman brand since my father taught me about tools and I have a garage full of craftsman products. This has been the worse purchase to date and makes me reconsider my loyalty to craftsman. Why in the world would you make a shop vac with such an ODD FILTER SIZE that cannot be found anywhere to purchase? My advise is do some homework before you buy Craftsman now as they are not the craftsman of old. The FRUSTRATION of locating a replacement filter has cost so many lost hours and TIME is the most VALUABLE commodity in the world.
