CRAFTSMAN 3.5 Amp corded string trimmer features a high performance motor as well as a 12-in cutting swath with 0.065-in line, allowing the user to tackle tough overgrowth. The automatic line feed system means no bumping is required to get full cutting width. The turn to edge with wire guide provides support while edging, while built-in cord retainer clips perfectly on the outlet to prevent unplugging. This string trimmer is compatible with VERSATRACK wall storage system, as it can hang on a VERSATRACK hook (storage system sold separately).

Rated 1 out of 5 by giwatcher from Autofeed is a joke As many have stated, the auto feed does not advance line as needed. When the line had worn down to 2 inches from the housing and could not cut, I had no choice but to remove the spool to advance manually on this brand new trimmer, used 30 minutes, to cut minor grassy area. NO sap, line not stuck or fused in any way, just doesn't auto feed as it should. Wecaresupport just parroted back generic recommendations from the manual, and this solved nothing. I have asked for this complaint to be escalated to someone who is aware that his issue is real.

It tackled some thick vines in my yard with no problem. I thought I'd have to use the hedge trimmers on them. Also many reviews of these Craftsman auto feed trimmers are complaints about them wasting string. I did not find this to be the case. If you're tall, might want to consider the extendable one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Garden Lover from Easy to assemble, small, compact. The price was appealing, Craftsmen has been around forever, a tried and trusted brand. It is light weight and it truly got the job done without a hitch. It’s the perfect tool for those small intricate areas that you don’t want bald spots in your grass. Plus I’m a 75 year old woman and it took me exactly 5 minutes to put it together. Snap two pieces together and one screw for the guard!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jane from single moms stay away if you are retired and have a lot of time on your hands so that you can feed the string through every 2 minutes than this is for you. As a single mom who does not have time on her hands and a limited income, having to stop and feed the line, even though it is supposed to feed the line itself by the push of a button, it's taking time away from other things like my kids, cooking dinner, etc. So much time that I have began to.pick up an extra shift and pay my neighbor to weedwack. it's cheaper that way.

I’ve only used it once, so far, but it was fantastic. It was a great deal and it does what I need it to do. I used it around my foundation, fence, tree. It’s incredibly light weight.
