Description

This work light from Craftsman(R) provides a superior, long lasting LED light. It provides 1000 lumens of light output and can be used safely in damp areas such as the garage or basement. Rated 1 out of 5 by DesertGirl from Garbage I purchased this online, for in-store pickup. That part all went well. Everything else was a 'fail'! First, the description says that it is rated for damp locations, it does not have a grounded plug. When I tried to adjust the two nobs on the side, so that the stand could be adjusted - BOTH of the knobs crumbled! The plastic was thin, cheap, and very brittle! I am a 60+ grandma, and do not have a grip of steel that would cause me to crush these. This was purchased to light up a hole caused by construction, so I jerry-rigged a way to keep it where I needed it to light up. If it wasn't a matter of safety to have a light immediately, I would have returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by glaw96 from Bright!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for working on my car and this light is amazaing. It lit up the whole underside of my car. I even turned my garage lights off just to see how bright it was and it lit up my whole garage. And it’s a lot cheaper than any other similar lights I found. It’s also been durable so far it’s survuved a couple drops face down and no cracks or anything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevin from Great Product Like most of you, I have a bunch of heavy, hot running, bulky work lights. Saw this when shopping for something else and bought one. It is terrific. Bright, barely gets warm, folds up small and flat. Also ran it off a 7 amp battery with a dinky 60 watt inverter and it was still bright after 4 hours, so I’ll be using it at camp sites too.

Only issue is in order to mount it you have to take the bracket off. A drill/driver wont fit to screw it down. Be careful taking off the bracket, the nuts on inside will fall in. I had to open up light to get nuts back in place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brad from Great Light with awful adjustment knobs I've purchased 4 of these to date and overall the quality and light output is great. The big issue I have is adjusting the stands. The first set I bought I placed in the crawlspace and wanted to attach to the floor joist above. The challenge is that it is almost impossible to get a screwdriver behind the unit to install mounting screws, however I made it work. The second set I decided to take an allen wrench and remove the mounting bracket at the (useless) knob. This was a bad idea because the internal nut fell lose making it possible to reinstall the screw. Faced with scrapping the unused light I decided to open the case and check my options. It turns out the nuts are captured on one side only allowing them to shift out of place once the screw is removed. My solution was to use a quick set glue to hold the nut in place. While I shouldn't have to do this to install and adjust the lamp, it did do the trick and I'm happy. Just beware of this when you purchase.

Picked up 2 for a recent job and it was nice to have them in different places on the job site. Afterword I took them and was able to mount them on the stand replacing the 2 halogen lamps that were on it.

That plugs into a simple outlet or extension cord. Very bright but doesn’t have a blinding reflection. Good product no problems yet.
