Its comfortable to hold and I really like the led light feature. I used this drill to put the final screws in some basement shelving and it sank 3 inch deck screws just as good as my old yellow drill and this one retails for much less. The 20 volt battery lasts a long time and recharges quickly. The drill came with two batteries so no down time. This drill has all the features of the higher priced drills such as two speed gear selector, keyless chuck and torque control. I gave this drill 4 stars only because it did not include a carry bag or case.

Anyway, after getting used to having an adjustable chuck again, I got to appreciate some of the features - I like the light that comes on when you use the tool, and the adjustable torque, which an impact driver doesn't have. I also like the 2 speed settings that an impact driver doesn't have. I don't think it is quite as powerful, but it is more versatile in what it offers. It says it also has a 3 year warranty, which is long for a tool like this.

I like that it comes with 2 - Lithium 20v batteries and a charger. It has 1/2" ratcheting chuck which is great since most of my drills wont hold the larger drill bits. Has a nice rubber grip so it wont slip from your hand. It has a LED light which lights up when you use the drill. 2 speed gearbox and is Versatrack comparable to hook up to a compressor (clip and accessories sold separately for the compressor clip).

This drill is a quality product that charges quick is well balanced and easy to use. The speed control is great for those drilling screws fast and the slower speed produces the kind of torque that is needed when drilling long screws in wood. I like the light which helps in a completely dark environment.The body is solid and the handle is easy to grip. I will be using this a lot to replace my Bosch drill this is getting really long in the tooth.

When I resumed my project I expected to have to recharge it, but I was surprised it still retained its charge. (That's never been the case with the two other drills I've owned.) It's a little heavy for this 70 year old woman. However, for my current project, I think I'll enjoy just getting the project done faster than I would have with my old drill. I won't have to stall the job in order to recharge the drill after a few hours of work. It's as if I now have a superpower--a drill that keeps a charge for a longer length of time. Whoopee!

This is like a new generation of Craftsman tools. It is really well built, solid and seems in more rugged than the last series. The drill came with two batteries and a charger. The batteries had some charge to them, so it only took about 20 minutes for each to come to full charge. The batteries lock in the drill really tight. The drill weighs a little bit more than my last one did but it feels more ruggedized. The torque this thing has is incredible. It will literally zip a screw in so fast your head will spin. The trigger takes a little getting used to so you don’t drive them too deep but it is actually amazingly simple. I have a more expensive drill I have been using that does not do half the job this one does. It will be my primary drill from now on.

I've been through three pair of batteries and 14.4V replacement batteries have become scare and outrageously expensive. So, after months of searching and researching a vast array of brands, I bought the Craftsman V20 1/2 -in. Cordless Drill/Driver Kit (2 Batteries + Charger). It is both more compact and more powerful than my 14.4V. The placement of the LED is spot on. I am fully satisfied with my purchase. If this one lasts as long as my older one, I will be too old to do DYI projects. By then my grandsons will need to help their grandpa.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a regular reviewer of Lowes' products I was pleased to review this Craftsman rechargeable driver/drill. My current rechargeable drill is on it's last legs, as I have given it hard use after the last seven years and it's about ready for the recycle bin. Lowes made a brilliant decision buying the Craftsman product line and this drill is simply wonderful. My current drill is 18 watts and having a replacement 20 wall drill is a welcome power increase. The Craftsman drill includes TWO battery packs, which not only is a great value and money saver, a fresh battery is always ready when a long day of work necessitates a battery change. Additionally there is a very bright LED lamp in the front of the drill which obviously adds a welcome addition of direct light for working in tight spots that a work light might not illuminate adequately. (Like working in the engine bay restoring a 1965 Mustang) The housing of the drill and battery packs are a super strong poly-carbonate polymer and will no doubt survive the occasional drop of the shop floor. Additionally the drill has two speeds, high RPM and low torque and low RPM and high torque. A three-year warranty is provided, which as in all Craftsman products shows manufacturer's confidence in the quality built into this product. Had my current drill died and required a replacement I would most certainly have replaced it with this product.
