Equipped with a 3.5 HP motor, this Hurricane(TM) blender from Cuisinart will quickly surpass its competitors and make short work of ingredients. It is equipped with six superior quality stainless-steel blades and features a slow start to ensure control. This appliance is equipped with a variable speed selector from 1500 to 24 000 RPM along with a turbo function which will increase the rotational speed up to 30 000 RPM. Its dishwasher-safe, BPA-free Tritan(TM) jar holds 64 oz (1.89 L) and is equipped with a large easy-grip handle. The Blendlogic(TM) technology detects content weight and will adjust the rotation speed for a uniform blend. This model features modifiable presets for smoothies, soups, ice crushing and units cleaning. You can also save your own parameters to personalize this blender according to your daily needs. This product is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.

Crushing ice, or blending anything you throw in the blender is no problem because there is ample horsepower and the blades make short work of any food thrown in! The jar is big enough to hold 6 cups, so a huge capacity. If you're looking for an amazing blender, look no further. Highly recommend this!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by GoddessIntl from Lots of power and looks good on the counter This blender looks stylish, so I leave it on the counter. It is named for a hurricane, and lives up that billing by being both very powerful and very loud. No stealth smoothie making with this machine. It blends very quickly, and I never need all the pre-set smoothie time. The cleaning function is useful, although I find I still want to wash out the jar and the lid separately. One thing to note: the longer you blend a smoothie, the warmer it gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dknight from Super powerful! I picked this unit up when it was marked clearance at $299 a couple months ago. This blender blows through anything you put in it. Smoothies with ice cubes and frozen fruit are no match for it. The only nit-pick I have for it is the replacement cup/holder is $139 because Cuisinart does not sell the blades separately. This has to be the best blender that Lowes sells.
