Description

can it be use as a spice grinder or will it plug the machine, I'm looking for a good spice grinder.

I believe that this machine is crafted more for coffee than spices.  I purchased it because it was geared more to a larger volume of beans than my old grinder, I.e. it can grind enough beans for 18 cups of coffee.

how short are you able to set the time for the auto stop timer? 30 seconds and less?

The timer is based more on quantity of beans you want vs. a specific time frame.

Is anyone having trouble with this grinder plugging up after a few months use, even with regular cleaning of the burrs?

Rated 2 out of 5 by Browning62 from Let's try this again My wife got us this grinder for Christmas and it worked for maybe one and a half bags of coffee beans. It worked intermittent when it did work and I compared our regular two cup measuring spoon to what the grinder produces and found the grinder to use much more coffee. I do like the look of this unit though the quantity lever seemed a little flimsy. We are in fact waiting for a shipping label to return ours to either be repaired or replaced with hopefully one that will stand the test of time. A very nice grinder just want it to work.

Le plastique transparent de la chambre de broyage et du trémie est mince et dégage une forte odeur, lorsqu'on les ouvrent pour la première fois. N'oubliez jamais de mettre le couvercle sur la chambre de broyage avant de moudre! L'éventail de choix des moutures semble complet. J'utilise le plus fin pour l'expresso. J'en suis encore au stade des expériences avec ma toute première avec le moulin et cafetière expresso, également de marque Cuisinart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dman1458 from I need 6 stars I absolutely love this machine. I have used it for my espresso machine, my Keurig and my French press. It grinds the beans up perfectly every time. If I had a single complaint it would be the noise, but lets face it, its grinding up coffee beans, it will be noisy. For early mornings to try and not wake the kids up I use a towel to muffle the noise.

I thought it would be OK, but have discovered that it can not grind fine enough for espresso coffee. It is good for regular percolator coffee, that's it. I'm looking at selling it and spending the money for a high quality Italian grinder.

Rated 3 out of 5 by waxhorn from Nice, but... I wanted a burr grinder so I spent the money on this one. So I get controls for fineness....and surprisingly for me, number of cups. What? So I look at the instructions. How the heck am I supposed to know what settings to use? There is useless guidance in the instructions. I figured I'd put beans in the hopper for a fine grind and start, but no...I have to set the number of cups also. That makes NO sense to me.
