Use the DeWalt drill and driver to work in tight spaces. The two tools in this cordless power tool set are highly compact; helpful for getting into narrow corners. Both tools have a brushless motor. Bought this and as per instructions, fully charging battery before I use but the battery just continues to flash (charge) after several hrs, never reaching solid light (fully charged)...is battery a dud??

I received the kit 10 days ago. I like the tool kit so far. I had no problem with charging of the two battery packs in the kit. It took me about 2+ hours to fully charge one battery pack - the light reached solid light when fully charged. My two cents - 1) You may measure the voltage of the battery (btw B+ and B-). It is 20 volt on both of my fully charge battery, as I just measured. 2) You may also try another battery.

2 batteries 20 V 1.5A/H. Super happy about them. Good recharge time and mostly, they keep their charge a long time. Strongly recommend this kit. (Brushless and strong lithium batteries at a very affordable price. What else to ask?)

I use it almost every day and it has never caused me any problems. I bought this to replace my old 18v drill and impact driver. The tools have really good power and runtime. I've used the drill on a scissor jack to lift my truck and it did great. the impact driver is awesome at removing stuck bolts and it drives fasteners really well. overall it's a great purchase and i don't have any complaints with it.

I use the drill with a drill brush to clean interiors and also with a foam pad attachment to remove small scratches. The impact was just a bonus to have something seperate to install tag brackets and frames. They both have ample power, with the impact being the louder of the two. The drill is quieter than my brushed b&d. Battery life is... not good. Disappointing, in fact. I kind of expected as much with these little 1.3Ah batteries, brushless or not. Definitely don't last as long as 1.5Ah packs for the brushed b&d. I am going to have to get at least one 3Ah or 4Ah battery pack, because the drill runs out of juice by lunchtime and a big job will drain both batteries and leave me in a bind. Super disappointed that there are no built in bit holders, something that is available on lower priced alternative brands. I would only recommend this set on a good sale.

Powerful torque and the combination of two tools makes finishing the task much faster. You have a full set of tools with you with the right accessories packed in the tool carry bag that was included with the combo. I really like the two batteries so that both tools are powered without having to switch the battery from tool to tool.

One of the batteries finally stopped holding a charge so I took the opportunity to get the newer lighter 20V models (since buying the old batteries are nearly as expensive). So far I am very pleased with their performance and the LEDs are a nice feature I didn't know I needed.

It served me well but I couldn't justify the cost of new batteries versus buying a new drill and I wanted to get an impact driver anyway. I've already used the new 20V MAX tools to tackle a major kitchen renovation, new laundry room, home studio and countless smaller projects. I'm really grateful for the built-in LED lights but wished they better located to be aimed at the tip of the chuck. I would have rated these at 5-stars if the LED lights were better aimed.

Good points: came with two batteries & one battery charger, batteries charge quickly (about an hour), came with carrying bag, worked flawlessly for several hours without requiring a battery recharge. I also bought a tool belt and two DeWalt drill holsters one for the drill and one for the driver. Really helped in my use as I was drilling pilot holes then driving in screws while up on a ladder. Very convenient to be able to holster the drill and unholster the driver without climbing down the ladder to change tools. Bad point: None. Suggestion: add a second charger to the kit. Would have allowed me to start my job immediately instead of waiting for both batteries to charge.

The difference is huge between low budget and this grade of cordless power tool. Driving Heavy Duty 3 inch deck screws becomes a breeze with this driver and the drill tears through 8 in of wood with a 1in wood bit like it's angry at it.

They have been using Dewalt tools for decades. These two tools are worth every penny and I would never buy another brand to save a dollar. They run like champs with great power from the 20V and have a long battery life that comes in handy for my extended DIY projects and boy do I have a lot of them now!!! I know I will be in my 50s suggesting the same thing when my son buys a house, From the build quality I’m I will still be using these same tools as well.

The chuck on the drill began to slip on the first use. I will be returning the set and purchasing something of better quality. I have many Dewalt products that have been excellent. This is the only item I have had from Dewalt that I have been disappointed with.

I had a black and decker drill that finally tapped out after 8 years of work. On top of that I only had the weekend to build a wooden swing set for my kids. The tools exceeded my expectations, the battery lasted all day, and the torque was there for lag bolts when I needed it. Going to start adding a couple more Dewalt tools to the garage.

I needed it to remove several bolts on my Jeep for some repairs I was doing but it didn't have the required strength to do so. I had a friend that had a corded Dewalt impact wrench and we ended up having to bring that over and use that. I would not purchase this again. It is only good for what I guess would be light impact duty, though i am not sure what that would be. At this point I haven't found another use for the impact wrench though I am sure the drill will be fine when i finally get around to using that. It's the only reason i didn't bother returning it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these two tools to augment the two DeWalt 20V Max tools that I have had for about three years. Now, I have four solid tools for working projects. It is a lot more convenient when building projects to have different drills in each drill and a driver in a third drill so I can drill a pilot hole in hard woods, use a second drill to quickly drill a larger hole to flush set the screw and the third drill to drive the screw. This made building blue bird houses in scrap Trek type decking a piece of cake.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nag from Quality driver for money Batteries were dying in my old 18 volt drill/impact set. Felt it was time to upgrade to 20 volt brushless. Smaller, lighter and more comfortable. Not much more power if any, than 18 volt. Battery doesn't really last any longer than 18 volt either. Charging time is fairly quick. All in all, good quality driver for the money.
