What does it mean when it says it's not compatible with Android?

It does not require an app to use bluetooth. Ie the Bosch radio uses an IOS/Android app to pair your devices, extra features. Or Dewalt's ToughSystem series radio's.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mccory from Not very well thought out design! I like some of the features but it seems like the designers should have tried using it in a real life environment. The door has no easy way to open it after pushing the open latch. The USB port is nearly impossible to get to with cord even with small hands. The radio needs a place to sit your phone after plugging in because it almost impossible to shut the door with cord plugged in without damaging port. Bottle opener is unusable without picking up radio and still isn't easy. Display is unreadable directly ahead and you must look down on it to see clearly. The antenna designed in a odd way so not easy to raise and lower. It could use a spare battery holder. Good sound and volume.

Perfect for parties, working in the garage and works great for the drive ins. Sounds super clear and has good bass. I love it for using the radio and Bluetooth while I’m working on something and my girlfriend loves it for the USB port to charge her phone. I like the feature where you plug it and you get a battery charger and you get 2 outlets to plug other things into.

The sound quality is good. Remember, this is not a 1000 watt full audio sound system that would blow your mind. It’s a stereo boom box that’s versatile. I had no trouble with the Bluetooth feature or setting the radio up. I purchased a Dewalt 20V XR four amp battery Model # DCB204 so I could get maximum time with the radio. It fully charged this battery in about 1 hour. I will update my review if I encounter any problems. Also keep in mind that this model does NOT come with a BOTTLE OPENER. I believe that model was discontinued and this is the New & Improved Model.

The reviews said it was the loudest sounding and had the best sound quality of all jobsite radios currently on the market. Well all I can say is the Bosch DOESN'T COME CLOSE TO BEING AS LOUD OR HAVE THE SAME SOUND QUALITY AS THIS DEWALT RADIO. I can promise you if you buy this radio you WON'T be disappointed.

I went in going to buy the Bosch radio,but at 25lbs I changed my mind,I’m glad I did.This radio is great,I have other Dewalt products so I didn’t have to buy any batteries,and couldn’t be happier. Great sound,not overly heavy,and I can hook up Bluetooth to it and play satellite radio from my phone,which to me is fantastic. I’m not trying to charge other items while listening to it ,I just wanted a good sound and got it.

But the sound always seemed a lil weak for my liking. When this came out i was torn between it and the tough systems one because a GC on a job i was subbing on had the tough one. Both are awesome radios. But I'm extremely happy with this one. Its only a little bigger than the old model but you can feel when you pick it up the things a beast and a much higher quality device... So yeah. I highly recommend it to any one.

Returned it and got another one...well again worked for couple of months. If left plugged in it turns on and off on its own and ruined a 20 volt battery. I have several other Dewalt products and have always had great service, but avoid this radio!
