The DWE575 Dewalt circular saw is one of the lightest in its class at 8.8 pounds. Could there be an adjustment that I'm missing?? I searched the manual and online, and to the best of my knowledge there is no way to correct this misalignment. It cuts beautifully like a hot knife through butter, but this is a disappointing flaw.

It is my first circular saw and I absolutely love it. When it is in your hand it just FEELS RIGHT! THe motor sounds even sound GOOD. Every little detail about this saw is purpose built. Clear sight line for cutting, Perfect PLASTIC HANDLE. When working on things sometimes you will get oil and fluids on your gloves and that will definately erode and wear at the rubber. That is why I am happy this product has a plastic handle. The blade guard slides smoothly but NOT TOO smoothly to that wind could blow it. Great product Dewalt, I wish some of your other products were in my price range.

As soon as I plugged it in to try it out, I loved it. All the power that never stops, solid, sturdy construction. So far it’s given me reliable cuts every time. Rips right through maple with ease. Only weird thing about it is that the side that the majority of the plate is on makes it feel like it should be a left handed saw? But it has a right handed knob to hold in the front I think. Either way, I can work around that part, I love it otherwise.

I previously used a cordless ryobi, but gree very tired of the batteries dyingmid-project. It is honestly amazong the differnece vetween the two. I use this to build oak fueniture and the saw goes through 2” oak like nothing. Its quiet and so smooth you cant tell when it is cutting becuse it seems so effortless for the saw. GET THIS ONE and you will NOT regret it!

I bought this saw after some less-than-satisfactory cheaper saws, and it was so worth it. Everything is streamlined and just where you need it when you need it. I love the very secure positive stops on the bevel adjustment, as well as the degree marks for preciseness. The wrench is stored right in the saw for easy access for blade changes. Cuts through everything like butter. DeWalt is my brand of choice!

It catches the bottom and throws off the cut. Useless if you want perfectly square cuts without much effort. My 4x4 post cuts were dreadful. I've bought about all the Dewalt stuff I'm gonna buy, because this seems to be the type of stuff they make from my purchasing experience. There's always some kind a kwirk in their designs.

The shoe isn't adjustable and the only way to get it there would be to remove the back plate that the blade rests against and send it to a machine shop for milling. the cost of that would be more than the saw so returned for a different brand.

Once I got into the box i was like a kid on Christmas, the saw was perfectly balanced and has a good weight to it. The first cut I made with the saw was so smooth that I almost did not feel it at all. The noise was also surprising, being that it is more quiet than and cordless tools I currently use and its corded. The saw also cuts any angle on any grade of wood without an issues. Ergonomics are extremely well fitted and placed perfectly so that you do not lose sight of the blade any point during a cut. Despite always having sight of the blade, DeWalt makes no compromises with the steel blade shield that glides open and closed while cutting. The steel shoe alone has cut minutes out of work time allowing me to put the saw down and grab the next tool in my task. As my first saw purchase and my first DeWalt tool, I can gladly say that I cant wait to buy another DeWalt tool. I'm resisting buying a chop saw until I get my textbooks laid for.
