Diamond Grit Hole Saw - 3/8" is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money Wasted about $30 going through the other type of tile bit - the one that looks like a little auger. Toiled for over 20 minutes (and by that I mean I was pushing and spraying and modulating ... anything to get the other bit to work), even trying smaller sizes first, to get the other type to make its way through ceramic tile. Was very frustrated and opened this one (which I bought "just in case"). I finished the original hole plus three others within 5 minutes of using this bit. It is totally worth the money. It is tricky when starting the hole as you have to hold it at an angle at first and basically eyeball the dead center of where the hole will be, but when using toggle bolts you will have some swag to work with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hudson Construction, Fair Oaks, CA. I needed to drill through some extremely strong tiles to install fasteners. I could not risk cracking the tiles. So I bought this diamond tip bit. I have drilled 12 holes and still have enough tip left to probable drill 2 to 4 more. If you have never used a drill bit like this keeping it cool with water and drilling slowly with medium pressure is key. No water and too much pressure will burn up this bit in 1 hole. Removing the bit from the hole and squirting water in the hole before it dries out is needed. Pulling the bit in and out through a wet sponge work well also. I use the smallest tile bit I have to start because sometimes these bits want to wonder. So get a indentation so this bit can be placed more accurately.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the Job This Hole Saw did the trick sawing through both ceramic tile & cement board. But, it's only good for a couple of times. Wears out quickly. Using water to cool is a MUST. Failure to use water to cool while using will shorten the life of the tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 12 holes and still going I installed 2 toto toilets on a concrete slab with tile. Each toilet had 6 screws that went thru tile. I used the diamond hole saw with ease. I used a spray bottle to cool the bit. Just a little puddle around the area being drilled and I would lift the bit after a few seconds and fill the cut area with water. Went thru easily and I can continue using it on more protects. I used a roto hammer for the concrete.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for porcelain tile, affordable and effective You can use this for 3/8 inch holes or make multiple connecting holes for a larger diameter hole. I used this for a shower spout hole s well as 3/8 inch holes for hanging a towel bar in the shower. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drills thru hard Porcelin tile Best results are with a cordless drill on its lowest speed setting, with someone spraying water( a spray bottle works just fine) to help the cutting process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamonds aren't just for the ladies I bought this because I was in a pinch. I had just rebuilt a pressure washer that looks like it came out of the walking dead. Last thing I had to do was put on a new muffler and spark arrestor. Surprise surprise, the exhaust studs were seized. One came out after some persuasion. One broke. Not to worry, just drill it out, grab the extractor set and we're home free. Wrong. Extractor broke inside the broke stud. Now what? Can't drill into an extractor, it's too hard. But what if I drill, or cut, around it??? Went over to lowes and hit up the tool aisles, found some small hole saws, went back home to try it out. THIS WORKED GREAT!!! It was slow, but it worked like a charm. The pressure washer still looks like it fell off the back of a truck at a landfill but believe you me it runs amazing and purrs like a kitten. If you have a broken stud with a broken extractor, broken drillbit, or a broken tap.....get yourself some diamond hole saws and pack your patience. It'll work.
