Description

The award-winning Dreambaby® Indoor/Outdoor Retractable Gate is a versatile gate that can be used inside and outdoors as it's made from a UV treated durable mesh to keep it from fading in the sun. The gate is hardware mounted and comes with two sets of mounting brackets for easy use in more than one place. It can be unclipped from one set of brackets and easily relocated to the other set of brackets. Fits narrow to wider openings up to 55" and is suitable for doorways, hallways and stairs.

*The loud sound is to alert parents that the gate is being opened. For silent opening, you must turn the top knob on the gate while you retract the gate with your other hand.

OPENS 55" WIDE: Standing 32" (81 cm) tall and extending to 55" (139 cm) wide, it retracts out of the way when not in use.
SIMPLE ONE HANDED OPERATION: Makes it quick and easy to pass through and UV treated mesh makes it ideal for use indoors or outdoors!
Spacers are required when fitting gate to baseboard/skirting boards (sold separately).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bstrickland from Blocked!! I receieved this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. My husband installed this gate. The directions were clear. No issues. Gate slides excellent. Handle is a bit tricky at first. I'm absolutely loving it. We purchased a cheap standard gate and I hated having to move it or step over it... And at this point my 7 month old dog was able to just jump the standard right into my baby nursery. This gate is taller and it works excellent. Absolutely love it. I do wish it was available in other colors though as white is a bit difficult to keep clean with multiple usage daily.

The area at the top of our stairs is limited and a retractable gate is perfect. First, the packaging was wonderful. We had a hurricane rain and the box was soaked, but everything inside was preserved with nice bags and wrapping. The installation was great. This product has so many options and applications. We chose the configuration that worked for us, used the templates provided, and not long after we had functioning gates. I will say we have an older home and had to do some figuring around the banister and railing but made it function perfectly. Then we had a problem. With the baby we wanted to keep the cats from coming upstairs and they could crawl under the gate. We studied it for a while and bingo – all we had to do was change the configuration. We used the appropriate template, unscrewed, and reattached everything. Now it works just as good as before, looks great, and keeps the cats out. Using the gate holding baby does take some getting used to, however the other benefits definitely outweigh this. I also like the fact that when we no long need to block the stairs we can use it to block off other rooms (cat room). Thank you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Molly from Convenient and attractive What I like about this gate is that it can easily be "put away" when you don't necessarily want a baby gate up. We have a gate installed at the top of our stairs that is a wooden gate that either needs to be shut or can be left open but it swings out into the hallway a few feet and has two metal pieces that stick out of the side when left open that are a definite hazard for a running toddler, so it basically always has to be closed. When you have other family or friends over, or just at night after the littles are in bed, sometimes you don't want people to have to navigate over or around your baby gates so this one is a nice compromise! I like the minimalist design and that it isn't an eye sore!

I was aware of this awesome product from a friend who is currently using it, and wanted one so bad The quality of the material is good. You can install it in the doorway or stairway. Easy installation which comes with useful and easy to read instructions. It also comes with the mounts. It doesn't hang back and forth like the cheap wooden/plastic gates once they losen up. It's used for pets and children. It looks sturdy, but I feel nervous because (that's just the way I am) to install the gate up the stairs for a toddler like mine who is very destructive even if the material looks good and sturdy.

This gate is pretty great because it not only looks good and works well, but my favorite part is the it rolls up into nothing when the kids are asleep or at their grandparents, so we don't have to mess with it when they're not here.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed the gate between the hallway to the kitchen ( the most dangerous place for a toddler!) When there are little ones running around its hard to get them to stop following you. It's bad enough they already copy everything we do. My first thought was this is heavy. And of great quality but what if it falls at a let go of the gate. However it turned out to be very sturdy and reliable to keeping the kids OUT ! It took longer than expected to build and get together but the labor was worth it in the end. The black one I received I really loved it gives like a total shut off- off limits warning sign. Howevet I wouldve definitely bought for the other rooms if the price itself would be in my mommy budget, but totally recommending to all mommies (specially us new ones who have anxiety about everything!) Thank you so much for the opportunity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product to keep my sons from going to places in the house where they shouldn't be, mainly out of their sisters' room where they often try to sneak of to. I liked that the gate screws to the wall so I can easily just pull it across and hook it when I need to. I know that the release button is supposed to be harder to use so kids can't release the gate on their own, but sometimes it can be hard for adults to do, too. I like the overall design and ease of use of the gate.

This is by far one of my favorite. I really like the mesh design compared to the slates with other gates. ( My toddler likes to try and stick his legs through those) The retractable design is fantastic, though it is not as easy to retract as I would have liked it to be. This may just get better with practice. With gates everywhere being able to "hide" the gate when not in use is great. It was much easier to install than some of my other gates that I have used. Before I was offered this free sample I was not aware of this particular product, so I am very happy that I was able to test it. This is most certainly a product that I would buy in the future if I am in need of another gate.
