Rated 5 out of 5 by geijin from Outstanding Thermostat Bought 2 Ecobee Premiums each with 1 remote sensors. Replaced two 25 year old thermostats. I'm a DIY'er and installed these myself. Ecobee support was great and guided me remotely in locating an unused C wire and connecting it. Eliminated the need for the PEK adapter. Easy to set up and operate. Set schedules and temperatures and assign to sensors and thermostats. Remote sensors are great. The iPad and iPhone apps work great. Motion detection is a great feature. Tried to install a Nest previously. It was a mess. Couldn't be more pleased with the Ecobee installation and use. It's a fantastic thermostat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mk27 from lots of smarts - poor temperature control The number one function of a thermostat is to maintain a temperature. The ecobee thermostat fails in this task. Sure there are lots of bells and whistles but what good is that when the fluctuation about the set temperature is +/- 2 to 3 degs? After living with this thing for a few months I'm beginning to see what is happening. The device behaves like a brick -- when the room cools or heats it takes several minutes for the brick to reach the same temperature as the room. During this time the actual temperature in the room overshoots the setting by enough to make it uncomfortable.

For my new dual-fuel multi-stage Bosh HAVC in my main floor, ecobee Premium with remote sensor locate in my master bedroom, who can ask for anything more? This replaced my 3rd generation nest that had limitations I could not live with mainly lack of swing temperature control. ecobee covers everything I ask for. Not to mention it's elegant design with Alexa entertainment and air quality feature that I'm hooked at now. For my upstairs unit, I installed ecobee3 lite so I can access both levels using a single app. No doubt ecobee is a winner 👏

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marc63 from Great upgrade from original Ecobee 3 I have been an Ecobee customer /user for 8 years. I have multiple products installed an have been VERY happy with all of them. My original primary thermostat was an Ecobee 3. It functioned well and there were functional upgrades over the years that enhanced the product but when the Smart Thermostat Premier was released, I felt the additional features justified an upgrade after 8 years. I found the air cleanliness monitoring and ability to tie security products into the product to be compelling. The installation was simple and programming remains intuitive. The Smart Thermostat Premier has been installed for about 6 weeks and I am very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MaconAire from The HVAC Contractor's BEST Choice After installing nearly all the types of smart thermostats on the market, I can confidently say that there is none better than the Ecobee, no matter what version. It is easily compatible with every type of system and makes the headache of dual fuel/hybrid heat setup a piece of cake. The amount of control given to the user is great, which usually ends up contributing to money savings and greater overall comfort. I LOVE the amount of control the owner can have regarding when heat strips are utilized. Other thermostats are very vague with their system regulations, but the Ecobee is quite specific! It's the only one I sell now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JMDMN from Nice packaging, but lacks useful upgrades The new exterior is a nice upgrade from prior versions, and there are new menus and display screens (not really better or worse). Biggest thing of note for me is that the new "Premium" thermostat still can't control two accessories, such as a humidifier and an ERV, so most people around here will still need to run two different thermostats or controllers if buying this.

I had a Nest that had been acting up recently so I truly appreciated receiving this Ecobee. It was super simple to install and has been effortless to use. My home is finally comfortable and at the correct temperature. I am also loving the eco+ setting that helps regulate the temperature to save me money. The included sensor has also been a huge help with regulating the hottest bedroom temperature to be more aligned with the rest of the house without freezing the main room. I can’t say enough good things about this thermostat. I highly recommend it!!

I’m so glad I made the change to the Ecobee!! I was using the my nest with HomeKit through a bridge and it was clumsy and limited on functions! The Ecobee Smart Thermostat joined right into HomeKit and it was SO EASY to add. It’s easy to use with a fantastic display interface and the app OR HomeKit allows full function use. It is a superior product to the others on the market!! I just converted over to the Ecobee video cameras and the Ecobee Video Doorbell’s and they are equally superior. My HomeKit now has total integration and it brings my home to a new level of comfort and control!!! Well done Ecobee!!!
