Rated 4 out of 5 by JMDMN from Nice packaging, but lacks useful upgrades The new exterior is a nice upgrade from prior versions, and there are new menus and display screens (not really better or worse). Biggest thing of note for me is that the new "Premium" thermostat still can't control two accessories, such as a humidifier and an ERV, so most people around here will still need to run two different thermostats or controllers if buying this.

I had a Nest that had been acting up recently so I truly appreciated receiving this Ecobee. It was super simple to install and has been effortless to use. My home is finally comfortable and at the correct temperature. I am also loving the eco+ setting that helps regulate the temperature to save me money. The included sensor has also been a huge help with regulating the hottest bedroom temperature to be more aligned with the rest of the house without freezing the main room. I can’t say enough good things about this thermostat. I highly recommend it!!

It has made such a difference in our home as well as our cooling/heating bill. There are SO many fabulous features.. you can set it for when you're home or away (there's even a sensor that can track movement if someone is home) as well as a small 2nd device that can be placed somewhere else in your home, to make sure the temperature stays consistent. I also love that I can control my Thermostat from my phone, no matter where im at. I highly recommend everyone get an Ecobee Smart Thermostat in their home. They are very user friendly and make a huge difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dano from Decent upgrade from Ecobee 3 The unit was provided as a part of a complete HVAC system replacement. I almost chose to decline installation because I have been so pleased with my Ecobee 3. Once I confirmed the new Premium was backward compatible with the older room sensors, and I noted the new features such as the nicer dislay and air quality monitor, I gave it a try. I personally did not care about the Siri or Alexa features. In short, I like the upgrade and am happy with it overall. It does take longer to come on line and complete calibration after a power failure or turning off power for maintenance, so it irequires some patience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Not again from Roasting We purchase this product on a very popular website about a year ago. This product work well at first but start having problem with the HVAC about six months later. We also added three smart sensors to help balance the flow. We went out of town for a weekend and our house was roasting hot. Not one or two times, but about every 10-15 days. I called the online technician for ecobee on two different occasions. They told the my thermostat was working fine by looking at my online account. Later after calling a HVAC technician out three different time from a local company, the problem was the ecobee smart thermostat. We decided to replace thermostat with a different brand, my system has been working well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don’t get me wrong - our Ecobee is great and works great, but my husband and I both think there is much to be improved when it comes to the UX/UX experience. Things just aren’t quite as intuitive as they could be, and things that should be easy (changing the time, for example!?) take more effort than they should. All of that said, install was relatively easy, and we love that we can track the temperature of our daughter’s room and run the AC/heat based on that temp vs the temp in our hallway…definitely a game changer for people with kids!! So grateful for the upgrade to our dinosaur of a thermostat!

Not only can it be controlled by Alexa devices, it has its own Alexa device built in that can be paired to your account. The installation was somewhat difficult as was the set up. After completing those tasks, my husband and I have been nothing but impressed. Not only does this control temperature, it reads the humidity level, carbon monoxide levels and air quality in the home as well as outside. I highly recommend this product and will continue using this over any others I have tried.

This is my first Smart Thermostat, although I do have experience with others. I am surprised at how much it does and how smart it is. It's been running my A/C perfectly in this crazy Louisiana heat. I am able to access and control it from my phone. It even measures air quality! I've only had it installed for a week and am loving it. Also came with a Smart Room Sensor to put in any room that has trouble keeping cool, but I haven't been able to get it paired yet. Will have to contact customer service and update my review. I would highly recommend this one!
