Can I use Ego backpack product # LB6003 for any other Ego products such as Ego trimmer or is it specifically designed to work for only Ego blower

Asked by: Falez
Hello, The LB6000 is an exclusive leaf blower. The battery is compatible with all other EGO tools however the blower itself can not be attached to other tools. Thank you for your inquiry!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice backpack blower Just got this from home depot online with the 7.5 amp battery,,,love this tool,,,,comes with rapid charger,,,,works so great,,its power beyond belief, its so true,,,,and is really quiet and light weight,,,,12.5 pounds the tool alone....I have never had a backpack blower ,this thing is very powerful,,,did a few jobs and don't need the turbo much,,,love the run time with the 7.5 battery,,,I do have the 5 amp battery the extra power is well worth the extra money, for bigger jobs you need extra batteries is a plus from your other ego yard tools,,,,ego you did a great job making this only issues would be a trigger lock ,,,,,I would recommend this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lots of blow power! I do gutter cleaning and currently use the BR 800 from stihl. However I wanted to try the ego 56 V backpack blower. I was surprised that it could blow out some of the most compacted and filthiest Gutters that I do. It definitely passed my test. It got the job done on one charge. It is definitely not as powerful as the gas powered steel blower but nonetheless it has lots of power and can get any job done. Considering how lightweight it is I will probably use this over my gas powered blower whenever I can. I definitely recommend this battery powered blower, you will be satisfied. The only thing I don’t like about the ego blower is that I will need to buy another battery to make sure I can complete every job and you must hold down the turbo button at all times when blowing out gutters.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Environmentally friendly, indeed. But... I was all for more eco friendly yard equipment. After researching blowers, I decided to give the Ego a try. Unfortunately, not one store has a floor sample to try before buying. I got the blower home, assembled it and charged the battery overnight. I live on thirty acres adjacent to a National Forest. Leaves in the fall consume the property, but I tried out the Ego in the late spring for light clean up. I also have a very long paved driveway and tree overhang the drive. Right off the bat, I discovered this blower does not have the power to move more than a handful of leaves at a time, unless turbo is used. I had to continually use the turn to move small branches, hemlock needs and leaves off the driveway. After 15 minutes and less than 1/2 the driveway completed, the battery was completely depleted. I returned the Ego blower to the store the next day and got a refund. Until the battery life is better, and blower power is greater, this just won't stack up to the gas powered back packs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blower Bought this blower 2 months ago worked great at first, but now the 5.0 battery will not last long enough for me to blow the leaves in my 1/4 acre yard. the blower works good, it is very quiet but the battery life SUCKS. I looked into purchasing the stronger 7.8 battery but the battery cost more than the blower & battery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A novice's review of the Power plus 600 The blower is excellent for doing stairs and tight places, it it pretty good for the rest...this is the first blower I have used for blowing snow, and each time I use it, it appears to preform better and better. Don't go 'overboard' with the 'turbo' button, and you should have no problem clearing an inch of two of fluffy snow from your sidewalks, a double driveway, and the neighbours sidewalk. Definitely quieter than a gas blower, but you don't have to fiddle around with gas, oil, pullstarts, etc. Although the blower wouldn't be the tool to use for wet snow, for up to an inch or two of the fluffy stuff, I would definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good blower I got tired of purchasing a new 4 cycle gas blower every other year because they wouldn't last longer than a season or two. I decided to give this blower a try and so far I am very happy with the blowing power and battery time to handle my regular yard work needs. However, I did have to manage my leaf season differently. Though the 180min run time was fine for everyday use, when it comes to the large leaf job we have every year, I had to break it up into a couple of sessions. I had considered purchasing another battery, but the cost of a new battery was nearly as much as the blower itself. This is my first battery powered blower and other than the cost of another battery and change in the way I do the annual leaf job I am satisfied with the blower. We will see how long the battery lasts after a year of use. I gave it 4 stars just because the cost of the battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and worthy gas replacement EGO Backpack Blower Review. Having used the handheld 480 and 530 EGO Blowers, I just knew that the new high powered battery powered backpack blower was for me. A little background on my yard. I have about ¾ of an acre. My front yard has a few trees, but my side and back yard are completely covered with trees. My cleanup can run into a 4 to 5 hour ordeal with leaves, 6 to 10 times a year. It’s a ridiculous amount of time which I fight with, because I do not enjoy clearing fallen leaves and debris. Unpacking the blower is a pain, but the reward is that it is put together rather easily. I was quite surprised with the benefit of a retractable and removable extension tube. This makes storing the blower really easy as it takes up a lot less space when the 2nd tube is removed for storage. On to the most important thing, using this blower. Ergonomics: 1st off I was a bit turned off at all of the safety straps. But they are on all the new blowers sold these days. I cut off the mid strap and left the bottom, as it’s only slightly useful. The backpack itself is weighty because it holds the 7.5ah battery, but nowhere the weight of a gas engine with a tank of gas. Once you get the height of the shoulder straps adjusted and get things at the height you are comfortable, the unit sits comfortably on the body. The handle can easily be adjusted up and down the tube so you can find a comfortable length, as easy as a twist knob, and it doesn’t come loose. Over all the unit is comfortable and doesn’t stress the shoulders or back, and when properly adjusted puts your arm in a comfortable and pain free position. Use: Ok, let me just say I’m still in awe at the power. Did I say it has a lot of power? Comparing to my Makita Backpack Blower, this unit puts out a bit more CFM and less MPH. What does this mean? It has no problem moving a LOT of debris! I can move larger piles of leaves and twigs because it simply pushes more volume of air. CFM is air volume, MPH is air speed. Speed is more helpful with little things like clippings and small things that tend to stick to rough surfaces. But, EGO offers a flat tip that takes care of that too. I had no problems moving a large amount of damp, clumpy old leaves and branches. Yes I said branches. When using the unit and you hit some really nasty clumped up stuff, hit that turbo, and off it goes. I kept my back yard completely clean for the first year in 20 years of owning this home, why? It was much easier. I didn’t have to go get fresh fuel for my blower, no problem starting a cold mower, only needed 2 charges to do my whole yard, and finally, I finish my yard in under an hour. Summary: The EGO backpack blower deserves 5 stars, and I’m not just saying this because I own it. If it was less worthy, I would say so. I only have one recommendation to EGO, put a cruise control lever on the unit. Pro’s: * Great power, easy to use * Easy storage * Much lighter than a gas-powered blower * Comfortable ergonomics * Grab it and go. * Great value when purchased with the 7.5ah battery Con’s: * Too many safety features (this is my opinion only on these) * Would like cruise control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ego Power backpack 5ah battery I bought this about a week ago and I also have the greenworks 80v blower. The backpack blows greenworks away! I did have a inop 5ah battery that EGO is sending a replacement for (US representative). This company backs their products FACT. These kick Greenworks/Kobalt out of market FACT. Products look, feel and perform better FACT LOL. Try one and you loose the gas engines noise and upkeep. PS I never write reviews but I made an exception to this company because they deserve it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Environmentally friendly. I have this product 2 weeks and have used it multiple time and after having gas, electric plug in blowers this is the best one I have had and used. Confortable to wear, easy controls just all round excellent product! Very pleased. Well done to the design team.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed I bought he 21in self-propelled mower and couldn't be happier. I decided to go all EGO and buy the backpack blower as well. It came with the 5h battery. The power is really not very impressive unless you use the turbo and then the battery only lasted about 15 minutes. As much as I love the mower; I wouldn't recommend the backpack blower. The performance just doesn't make up for the bulkiness while using, and the extra spaces needed when storing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tired of dealing with gas Bought to replace a handheld and so far so good. I have the 5 AH battery and it lasted about 25 minutes of heavy usage. I have about 150' of driveway and porches to deal with and it handles all of them on a charge. I wish there was a battery indicator on the control arm so you could see the condition of the battery. It is comfortable to wear when you get it adjusted and my back felt better than it usually does when I used the hand held unit. It is a lot quieter than a gas unit and it is lighter. It blows as hard as my gas unit. I'm happy with the purchase. Now they need to make a garden tiller that takes the same battery!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Former lawn pro I used to have a lane are company, so I have owned 5-6 gasoline Redmax backpack blowers. I have lots of experience with those blowers and the amount of air they push, but also they sound they make. This Ego backpack blower doesn’t have as much brute force, but with the turbo button it is absolutely adequate for the average homeowner. It pushes clumpy grass, piles of leaves, and dirt caked on the driveway. I would 100% recommend this blower to any homeowner. They battery has a really long life span. Could probably blow non stop for 45-60 minutes. If you’re looking to look at an electric option that’s quite and comfortable, the. This blower is for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ego products and are unreliable I purchased pretty much every one of their tools. Three years later, I can tell you that the batteries don't last. Every one of mine have died and they are expensive to replace. My backpack blower also recently died and their customer service has been mediocre at best. I believe the hype of this brand has been extremely exaggerated. Avoid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, esp if you have the bigger battery This product is awesome. Super powerful, even without turbo mode, which is a welcome addition for tougher areas. Backpack design is great as it removes stress from your back. The arm is super flexible, lightweight & easy to move. The only thing I'd say is that to maximize usefulness, it's best to have the bigger battery. In my case, I got the smaller one, which runs out after 20+ minutes of continual use. But, since I also own the mower, I can use that battery as well, which last amuch longer and (I think) makes the blower more powerful. The 2-battery combo is perfect for my blowing & mowing needs now. Great product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blah I bought this blower because of the no gas or oil or filters or anything else that you have to maintain. I'm very disappointed in the run time. 30 mins with a 10amp battery. The blower has pretty much no power unless it's on turbo. I have also been getting a shock in my thumb when using turbo? Don't know if this is a normal thing but think it might not be. Another problem is the trigger on mine is useless as I have to turn the dial for the speed I want and that is all i have to do for it to run. I'm no engineer but I thought you set the speed and then pulled the trigger to fire it up. The one I have only works with the dial I don't even have to pull the trigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do you prefer working easier smarter not harder? I really like this machine so far. As an old man living on well forested land and having had both carpal tunnel and tennis elbow operations I was tired of fighting with my corded leaf blower getting trapped on rocks and in tree roots. I tried to hold the EGO hand held lead blower for a few minutes and realized that a strap or sling would need to be purchased at extra expense. This promoted me to consider the EGO leaf blower that has the 5 amp 56 volt battery in a back pack. I am no paragon of ambition and the EGO blower allows me to work smarter, longer and more pleasantly rather than harder. I recommend this machine .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product! I bought this Ego Power+ 600 CFM Backpack Blower on Sunday January 1st, 2017, and it did not work! I followed the instructions for set up, pulled the trigger to start but the motor just clicked. No power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I’m 70 and thoroughly love it The battery lasts about 2 hours, which is fine for me. It is not to heavy and the backpack is easy to put on and I wear it comfortable you!!. It doesn’t hurt my back. The handle is ergonomic and the buttons are in just the right location and act immediately to the touch. My only suggestion is a second battery. The battery I’m a slow leaf blower and have a 1/2 acre of leaves and a long learning curve. That said, I’m enjoying the work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great blow with a couple of negatives I was pleasantly surprised by the power of the unit. I previously had a mid-commercial grade (gas) unit from one of the top brands and the Ego Power+ unit comes very close to it. Other things I like about it is its weight - about ½ the commercial unit, and the fact that its environmentally friendly. Two negatives would be "battery life" and the lack of a trigger lock. I only get about 30-40 minutes from the 5ah battery. Fortunately, I have a 7.5 ah and a 2 ah batteries from other implements so I can go for about 1.5 hours. The lack of a trigger lock requires constant hand pressure so your hand get tired quickly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great performance, terrible trigger design I’ve had this backpack blower for a few months now, Backpack blower Performance is great, 7.5ah battery life is good, BUT what a horrible trigger design! Why not just a simple variable speed trigger like gas blowers have? Why do I have to pull the trigger with my index finger, then turn a dial for the speed with my thumb and and yet push a third button for full power???? I find it very annoying during prolonged use. I just want one simple trigger, not three.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EGO+ 600 CFM Backpack It is much more quiet than I expected. Replaced my Echo gas backpack blower. Definitely not as powerful, but don't need to deal with mixing gas any longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I have a lot of Ego tools, and have really enjoyed using most of them. However, I’ve been real disappointed with the backpack blower - it hasn’t been as powerful or as long lasting as I had hoped. I’d been using the handheld Ego blower for a while but found that’s it’s best to blow off the garage, driveway and porch... So I started to look for something more powerful and longer lasting to use in my backyard, and was very excited to find Ego’s backpack blower! Unfortunately, the backpack blower did not meet my expectations - I have to use the turbo button at all times which drains the battery and still feels under powered… I feel like I should have gone for a gas blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good blower in a small, light package! Only have had the EGO blower for several weeks, but in the middle of fall leaf-blowing season, it's definitely gotten a workout. So far, very pleased with it. WEIGHT: excellent. About the same weight as our old gas-powered, non-backpack blower. NOISE: not absolutely quiet, but much quieter than gas-powered one. POWER: very good power, considering small size and weight of equipment. BATTERY: charge capacity not quite as good as advertised, but more than adequate to do a small residential lawn. ENVIRONMENTAL: main reason we bought it. So glad to get rid of the noisy, smelly, polluting gas-powered blower!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as well as my gas blower I have had a high powered, high-end two-stroke gas blower for a few years. I typically blow leaves and dirt off grass and pavement. And occasionally water off a basketball court and General dirt and dust etc off outdoor patio and furniture. I’ve had the Ego backpack blower a week and so far so good. On Turbo it matches my gas blower, but of course it’s a lot quieter, can be used in the garage and enclosed patio without poisoning myself and I don’t need to keep getting fuel and oil for it. I have the bigger battery pack and it works great for my needs. I have yet to run out of juice. FYI I also have the lawn mower from Ego and would never go back to a gas mower.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Blower But Too Cumbersome for My Needs Does a great job. I'm using this leaf blower to move snow. It's not as well suited to the task as I would like. I'm an old guy. I could get the backpack on my back, even over the heavy coat I have to wear during a Montana winter. But swinging the blower and tube at the same time is difficult and inconvenient. If they could be easily removed and replace easily after the backpack was on, I would be much happier. I bought the backpack blower because my handheld blower failed. The handheld blower is being replaced. I'll be using it for all the light snowfalls and just turning to the backpack blower for deep snows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ego Backpack Leafblower is a great alternative Leaf blower works great for an electric model and provides enough power to move the leaves on my property. This is much quieter and less weight than a gas model backpack leaf blower. The 7.5 aH battery is not sufficient on 1 charge for half acre of lawn space and requires 2nd battery or additional charging to complete the work.
Date published: 2021-12-03
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good blower with some issues I bought this blower a week ago instead of the 580 which was not in stock. I have mixed ideas about this 600, I wish I had waited on the 580. The good: blows leaves and grass off paved surfaces as well as my former gas powered blower, relatively quiet, no gasoline to store. The not so good: very bulky and heavy and not as convenient to use or store as a hand-held blower, does not have a "fan shaped" nozzle end as the reviews I read indicated it would - thus it is not as good at sweeping debris.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plenty of power I already have a competitor's 18v trimmer and blower. The trimmer works fine, the blower, not so much. I also have an EGO mower with 7.5ah battery and an EGO chain saw with 5.0ah battery. The 7.5ah mows my yard without recharging, the 5.0ah won't quite get there. Since my other blower isn't all that great, I decided to get the EGO backpack blower both for acceptable power and having an additional 5.0ah battery. The blower exceeds my expectations. This blower seems to have as much power as my gas blower. And, I can now alternate between the 7.5ah battery and the 5.0ah batteries for mowing. Also, with 3 batteries, the chain saw or blower will probably work longer than I want to.
