Rated 4 out of 5 by MoxNixing from The only issue I have The only issue I have with it is that I'm left handed and when I use it left handed I get a lot of debris on me and in my face. I'm doing some inservice training getting use to using it with my right hand, so far so good 'adapt and overcome ' ;-) Most demos I've watched people are edging sidewalks, driveway etc. I have a lot of grass to edge that's not next to a walk or drive and that's where the debris is kicked up and out. The good part, I can edge a lot quicker with the EGO than I could with my bulky 4 Wheel Troy-Bilt B&S 158cc Edger. I do miss adding gas, changing the oil, spark plug, air filter and pulling on the starter cord - lol

The woman liked it, but she found it difficult to assemble and maneuver because its leverage was more for a full-grown man. Still, she said the necessary operations, once assembled, were simple and the machine felt solid. She wants to keep it! She's reluctant to buy any attachments that would involve holding it in the air, because it's too heavy. She wished it came with a strap or sling to distribute the weight. She loved the crisp lines it cut along her sidewalk. Good battery capacity and efficiency.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gfashe from A cut above Bought this because I am replacing all my garden power tools with EGO products. I read Consumer Reports and they recommended the mower. The mower was excellent so I replaced my string trimmer and edger as well. My previous corded electric edger was so difficult I dreaded using it, and rarely did. The EGO product works like a breeze, the edging is done quickly and easily, and looks great. The battery lasts about an hour, which is more than enough time. Once you buy a battery or two, you can just buy the rest of the tools without batteries, which is much cheaper, and they are all interchangeable. It's rare that a product comes along that is truly a step above previous corded or battery tools, but these EGO tools definitely are.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leadtoes from Works great. I bought the Multi-head system with an edger to reduce the need to use my professional ebger. The edger system works great and does just as nice of a job as the professional edger. The finished product was as nice as my pro unit. Down side is the weight and controlling the depth of the cut. I had the wheel set for the shallowest cut. I had to lower the edger to get the depth I wanted. At the angle I edged at the edge guide was none operable. The cutting blade is at least a half inch longer than the edger guide. As far as the 2.5 battery, it lasti through two locations. That was better than I expected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by agtw from Edger Attachment EA0800 Got the Power Head and Edger attachment during the winter and started using it in the Spring. It lasted about 4 months before the mechanism started making a funny noise and totally locked up. It can't even be turned by hand. The power head seems fine and still works with the string trimmer attachment. Unfortunately the Power Head/Edger was a gift from my in laws and they purchased it, new in the box, from a 3rd party at a "major online retailer". Apparently EGO does not consider this a valid method of purchase and denied my warranty claim. This is a very disappointing outcome and I am out an edger.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Flyfisher88 from First Try - Not 100% Convinced I purchased this product for two reasons. 1) my old Black and Decker unit was dying and 2) we had a big project to do at Church. At Church we have a large Labyrinth made from bricks imbedded in the grass and it's very overgrown. This morning (after 4 days on the charger) I took my new trimmer out there for its first run and the charge lasted about 30 minutes......which was just the outer circle of the labyrinth. I say I'm not 100% convinced one way or the other because I had to work the trimmer really hard to get thru the tough grass and dirt that has grown over the brick. I was really counting on about an hour's worth of work and it feels like I'll get that when I do light trimming around the house. For now, 3 stars

Rated 4 out of 5 by Johnny L from Very Happy After 2 Uses I come many years of using a corded edger to this EGO edger. First seasonal edging can be tough, but the EGO has incredible power to slice through with just using the lower speed setting. Many reviews on how heavy this is, but a common trick I've learned with my dedicated EGO trimmer is to let the weight of the tool push the powerhead up against the bottom of your forearm which helps counter the weight. Took 1 star off since inserting the blade into the sidewalk might be trickier since you can't pull the edger backwards like I could with my 3 wheeled corded edger. Definitely would buy again (already sold my corded one on-line).
