Ecological Attributes

Are these suited for Canadian winters?  Can the stay outdoors without warping?

No this is the second go around we will have had with these tiles used on a garden bridge 4x6 and left it out not knowing it would warp and man it did. So this year we have inserted into channel bars as we are flat no curves not only looks great but my hubby outdid himself this is so we can remove panels for winter storage.

how many box do i need for a 150 sq ft patio?

I used the 12" x 12" tiles, 1 square foot per tile. With 10 tiles per box you will need 15 boxes. Allowing for some wastage, I would buy 17 boxes to do your patio. I've found Lowes to be very good with returns, so you will be able to get a refund on any that you don't need.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kenton22 from Temperature warning when fitting required I very recently fitted the grey tiles to my deck and I'm very happy with final product. However just a word or warning, my deck space is quite large at 460 sq ft and I fit ted these tiles at 30 degree plus temperatures, leveling everything off with the edge of my existing deck which I had covered with plywood to give a level surface. Well the temperature dropped and the tiles and plastic feet have contracted slightly in size, so my flush edges are 1/4" to 3/8" shy. I will plain down or saw off the access but if I was fitting again in very hot temperatures I would fit the tiles with at least 1/4" of overhang at my outer edges. This should really be explained on the instructions.

The sun basically instantly discolors it, water discolors in, in fact, everything discolors it. For a product that is supposed to be an outdoor product, these tiles are terrible. If we had known it would only look good briefly, and definitely won't last more than half of one summer, we NEVER would have purchased these. Definitely move on if you are thinking of purchasing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jago73 from Good for our application Installed these tiles just over a week ago and am satisfied with the purchase. Good quality for the price, especially when on sale. I have to agree that they do fade in the sun after a few days. The colour is more yellowish than original, however, I was aware this was a possibility, and it's not a deal breaker. They were installed over an aging PT deck with peeling paint that I am sick and tired of touching up, and this year it become a real eyesore. Planning to either replace or reface the deck in a few years and can re-use these tiles on the new deck if we keep the same dimensions, or we can use them somewhere else. Quite easy to install, and they improve the appearance of the deck dramatically.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 1hotbrat from Changes color in first week. I bought this as gray tile. After a week it's now tan on half my deck that gets sun shine on it! Really to bad as looks Great for a week or less. Yet the stuff is very easy to instal. Just know it will not be covered.

Un rien tache les tuiles: de l'Eau de pluie, les roues du BbQ, une patte de chaise, les pattes de chien. Je crois que ça manque de laque ou de vernis sur le dessus pour les rendre imperméables. J'ai investi plus de 1500$ chez Rona, (avec les coins et les rebords en surplus), puisque que suis locataire et je voulais partir avec mes tuiles si jamais je déménageais... Je crois qu'elles resteront là. :(

I have a 12 X 12 deck and I am so happy to tell you they did not fade or crack in these cold winters we have been getting. We shoveled the snow off even and didn't even scratch the tiles. I love this product so much I am now ordering them again for another patio deck.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gogo from Deck tiles After a period of time the tiles fad rather and the grey becomes a tan colour. Some of the rubber connectors are not placed square with the tile which makes connecting the tiles difficult. Those are the only 2 negatives. Overall the tiles improved the look of the deck. The price is reasonable for the quality received.
