Filter "Pleated" Air Filter is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 911.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny This is the second year I've used these filters. I need the Ultra Allergen Reduction model as both my wife and I suffer from allergies and she also has asthma. They are not inexpensive but they do give us much cleaner air than the cheap ones i used to use. Additionally, they are much more robust and don't bend when the blower turns on. I've always been very satisfied with 3M products and these filters are no exception. The buy on-line pick up in store process worked great, much better than ordering and waiting for delivery. The filters were waiting at the service desk when I walked into my local Lowe's and I was able to install one that evening.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Filters work well but outer edge has been changed I have been purchasing these filters for many years. In the past year or two, am not exactly sure of timeframe, the outer edge of these filters was changed. Now, the outer edge easily collapses and does not hold the frame firmly. This makes installing the filter difficult without bending or damaging the filter frame. It seems some cost-cutting measure was enacted. I don't know of better alternatives, so I will stick with this brand for now, but I am very unhappy with how fragile and bendable the outer frame has become. Filtrete, please start making these with the sturdy frames you used to make.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent high quality filtration The 1900 is excellent for removing dust and recommend it for open plan homes where cooking odors easily navigate into other living areas. I also noticed a dramatic difference in the frequency I needed to dust. However, I would not recommend this high quality filter to those who are not diligent in changing their home filter on schedule. This filter must be changed on schedule in order for the ac system to work effectively but it is well worth the investment. I also noticed that my electric bill decreased. Although I cannot make a direct link to the Filtrete 1900, I do think that it does help the system operate more efficiently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vital for Smoke from Wildfire season I use these with a box fan to bring cool night air into my apartment, while filtering out the smoke particles from the wildfire smoke being blown into my area. They come in a number of sizes that allow you to open a window to a minimum, and keep the worst of the air pollution out. I use a 20x20 and a 20x25 to cover a 20x45 opening. Once, overnight, the air quality unexpectedly went from mod to unhealthy, and my apartment was filled with smoke. Ran my fan with the filter after closing all the windows, and it cleared it up. I advise all my co-workers to use this method, and filters, to protect their lung health. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really A NECESSITY TODAY! These air filters are superior in quality and function, I even use the highest filtration level as a top notch replacement for hepa filtration in appliances and air filters at my business for decades now. One will easily be able to discern the difference in air quality when in use in just a few minutes. One can even make an inexpensive quality air cleaner with an ordinary household fan and and air filter simply taped to it as is demonstrated by a Professor at the University of Michigan on you tube. Really a need for most homes in all American cities today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for!! The saying is true...You get what you pay for! And I didn't want to put those cheap unmarked filters in my furnace after many people told me that a quality filter will help your furnace last longer and provide better air quality. So I took the recommendation and stuck with the Filtrete brand. I decided the 1500 was a good fit for me and I've never regretted it. I had a furnace inspection done recently and was told my furnace is so clean because I'm using a quality filter. I change it religiously every 3 months and it's doing a fantastic job. I won't buy any other brand! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traps Everything I have been using these for about 15 years now and love them. You would be amazed at how much stuff you can see trapped in one even after just a month. It will remove pollen, and even smoke and mold from the air. I would suggest getting a few for a season, especially if you dodn't have central air and are running the heat for the first time in the fall with a filter this fine. You will probably end up changing the first one after a month, then ever 3 after that unless there are constant pollutants in your house, like a lot of smoke or a mold problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Unit is 16 Years Old . . . and we have used ONLY Filtrete filters since our house was built and we moved in. Other friends have not done as we have recommended and have paid the price. Our unit is serviced 2 times a year and with each service we get very inexpensive filters which we discard. We change out our filters every 3 months (I have a reminder set on my phone). A few of our servicemen have commented on the fact that our unit looks very good and I always tell them that I attribute that to the filters we use.
