As a Whisper Hybrid Dual Fuel Series, the WH03042 runs at a quiet 58dB and can use either gasoline or propane. With a 1.8gal tank, this beauty will run for 10hrs. Needed it because PG&E is doing so called PSPS s (Public safety power shutdowns). We live near the edge of town which is bordered by forest so, I guess if that's the only way they can prevent the catastrophic fires we've been having in California, so be it :~(

Rated 5 out of 5 by PerryCoCamper from Firman 3300 Dual Furl Inverter initial Review Pickup at Lowe’s was one week delayed. Initial review of inverter showed no damage and all items included. Instructions for setup/operation straightforward. Added oil, hooked up LP and unit started right up. Ran for 30 minutes, then hooked up to camper (Shamrock 183). Ran at-Load, using lights, air conditioner and water pump with no issues. Not as quiet as anticipated but can have conversation when standing at unit and don’t anticipate noise to be an issue when placed 25 feet from camper. Purchased unit for camping where no electric hook ups are available and anticipate using LP as primary fuel. Unit appears to be well made and functions properly. Will update after camping trip and at end of season.

I have had it a week so time will tell but based on the parts and how easily it starts, I think I made a great purchase. Cheaper and larger than comparable ones. The socket covers and screen that tell voltage etc was the deciding factor over the Champion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kraler from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Arrived in good condition just a little temperamental when starting with gas had to play with the choke to run smooth choke stays partially out when running. Ran well. Switched over to propane choke goes all the way in and ran very well. I was not disappointed. Unit is extremely quiet. And I tested to see if it was putting out power by plugging in an electric engraving tool .And worked very well in full power mode and eco mode idled down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by M Karwowski from Excellent Buy I bought this in April during the latest ice storm. I picked this model for the duel gas/propane fuel option. Runs like a dream in either choice. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that the electronic push start is very difficult to use. We ended up crank starting every time. The instructions for the propane start were not clear, nor was it made obvious that the internal battery needed to be charged prior to using the propane. That said we were able to run the refrigerator, the freezer, a pellet stove and a light for 8 1/2 to 9 hours without hitting maximum load. It was not any louder than any of the gas generators in the area. I would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dieselcoondog from Duel fuel, little hard to start, made in China I wanted an inverter generator powerful enough to run 2 refrigerators, freezer, incidental phone chargers, and either my pellet stove or a 12,000 btu mini split air conditioner. This generator can handle these loads at their max rated wattage. I also wanted the option of natural gas, propane or gasoline. This one has 2/3 and I can buy a natural gas conversion after the warranty is out. I prefer to buy made in America. I couldn't find anything on location of manufacture before buying. As suspected, that means it was made in China. I couldn't find any units made in US though. I recycled the oil that came with it and substituted full synthetic as allowed in the operator manual. One odd thing for a company based in Phoenix the manual lists the highest operating range as 104 degrees F. Hopefully synthetic oil will help if it ever is needed above that. Assembly and hooking up to a full standard propane tank was easy. Starting was not. Despite following instructions carefully, the battery was soon gone, so I switched to the old fashioned hand pull. After perhaps 20 pulls and some fiddling, it fired up. Once warm it started relatively easily with the now recharged battery. The next cold start went a little better, but I have yet to get a cold start before the battery died. Consider just going with the slightly cheaper model that doesn't have battery start. As for performance, it ran fine. Running on propane, I overloaded it slightly by plugging in a 1500 watt space heater and a 1700 watt hair dryer. Had no problems. The unit is reasonably quiet. With the unit running at full load on the back porch there was no problem having normal conversation on the other side of the closed sliding glass door. I doubt my neighbors noticed it running, quieter than a lawnmower. The advantages of this Firman is duel fuel, a hours gauge, low fuel consumption, quiet, attractive, wheels, and value. Disadvantages are a little difficulty in starting and a somewhat low max ambient operating temp for my New Mexico location. I'm emphasizing the negatives, but overall I am pleased with the value and would buy again.
