This Fiskars hand seed sower offers four seed-planting essentials in one convenient tool. Made of durable yet lightweight FiberComp, this 4-in-1 seed trowel is ideal for small seed handling, digging and measuring hole depth, as well as seed spacing. A removable stylus in the trowel's handle can be used for controlled counting and handling of small seeds, directing seeds down the trowel's head for precise placement. The stylus can also be used to make divots during seed placement and includes easy-to-read, debossed measurements along the full length of the tool for correct seed depth and spacing. Additionally, the widger's narrow shape makes it optimal for transplanting smaller seedlings. Some plants will not grow unless they are correctly planted. Having a sharer digging end and wider at the top, it places the seed securely in the soil. The seed rolls down the tool to the perfect depth. The length of the tool acts as a guide for distance between plants when thinning. The rounded top is handy for loosening plants from the tray. I can see this tool working wonderfully on mound planting. This is going in my gardening bucket right away. I saw my daughter eyeing it earlier.

Its one of those gadgets that you didn't know you needed but deep enoughonce you have it you wondered how you managed without it. First its made by FISKARS - which makes very durable products. Thus it comes with a full lifetime warranty. I love the inch measurements in the shovel. Takes the guess work out of how deep to dig when planting seeds. This tool is marketed for seeds and that's all I've used it for so far but I think Ill give it a try when I plant my bulbs this fall.

It's made from a lightweight plastic-like material but it's really durable. So far, it's held up even better than some of my cheap metal trowels. It pretty much makes the perfect size hole for transplanting seedlings and the embossed guide on it makes it really easy to get accurate spacing without carrying extra tools along. The handle has an insert that pulls out and can be used for smaller seeds. I like to use the insert for counting and planting the really tiny seeds, like some lettuce. Maybe the best part is that when I'm done using it, all I have to do is hose it off and let it air dry. Overall, it's been great and I've enjoyed it even more than I thought I would

Living in Florida, right now it's our rainy season and the soil is very wet on top and extreme moisture underneath which sometimes can cause problems with positioning your seeds and bulbs correctly. Not with this seed sower. It was very convenient to have, I simply dug my small holes and the seeds and bulbs slid right down the center and into the ground perfectly!

It’s kind of become my gardening multifunction tool. It’s the perfect size for digging out little wells, I love that it has the measurements on the front and back for spacing accuracy (1-4” at 1/4” increments), and I love the removable piece that I can use for spacing while digging a new well. I have only used this guy with my seedlings and garden soil, but it is so strong that I think I will be able to use it to dig into our clay soil when I plant some tulip bulbs this fall. It feels like plastic and it’s lightweight like plastic, but it’s incredibly heavy duty. It’s also nice knowing that it won’t rust. 10/10 would recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Fiskars Hand Seed Sower is perfect for planting my fall seeds as I do some planting in the spring and the fall. The sower is lightweight, but very sturdy for breaking up hard soil, and is easy to use. It also has regular and metric measurements on the sower which help in measuring hole planting depth and spacing. This tool has been a real asset for my planting needs and I look forward to using it for many planting projects.

Perfectly sized seed planting helper with all the bells/whistles (scoop/measuring/more/etc.) & arrived right on time for all fall seed planting. Super high quality & HELPFUL! My only complaint is extremely picky: There are numerous contact points with sticky labeling. It's branding overkill & not necessary for those ready to use in the garden stat. Otherwise, A++++.

I can measure between seeds and dig with it, I’ve used it for many different plants and it works perfectly. I love gardening and with this tool I can do so many things without the need for multiple tools. I highly recommend this over a bucket of different tools to carry around. It’s lightweight but heavy duty enough to dig and plant in dry soil.
