Frigidaire Gallery(R)'s Fits-More(TM) 5-element cooktop provides you with enough space and performance to prepare multiple meals for your family and/or friends. The 3200 W left rear element boils water in only 3 minutes, while the SpaceWise(R) element adjusts its diameter to fit the pan or pot size, going from 9" to 12". The surface features Express-Select(R) front control knobs that are easy to access and intuitive to use, while indicator lights inform you if an element is still hot, even when turned off. The Frigidaire(R) Fit Promise ensures that the device can be safely installed in your countertop cutout and reimburses up to $100 in case of any modification. In addition, the cooktop is approved for installation over an electric wall oven from the same brand. This 36" ceramic glass cooktop is A.D.A compliant and comes with a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labor.

In order for it to look nice you always have to use a special cleaner. You can’t even just use a clean dish rag to wipe it off you see streaks all over it. Every morning I get the cleaner polish that you’re supposed to use to clean off my stove top to make it look nice. Otherwise it just looks dirty and smeared. I came from using a gas stove to electric for the first time in my life and very disappointed that you have to baby the stove top. I love cooking with a cast-iron skillet I’m afraid to even try because the surface will get scratched.

It has a good appearance and having the knobs in the front (vs on the side) in a plus. The "Quick Boil" burner (L rear) works far better / faster than our previous stove top and the "simmer" option resolved our issue of having to constantly watch over slow cooking items. The Negative - is really more of a nuisance item. Even though the control knobs are in the front, the burner icons are difficult to see unless the lighting is bright enough. It would be better if these were either back lit or had the same inscription lettering as the "Hot Surface & Element On" indicators. We waited for 6 months to get this

The reason for the three stars and is that the knobs are kind of in the way. They're at the front, and so I can't just slide something off of it. Also, the large eyes are on the back. That's what I usually need when I'm cooking, so it would have been more convenient for them to be on the front. However, I saw all of that when I bought it, so it's really my fault. It does, however, work perfectly.

It has five cooking eyes, including a quick boil and a large one that has an inner and outer cooking circle. I love the smooth cooktop and the ease of cleaning!! I highly recommend it to anyone!!

It is sleek, streamline and looks great in our kitchen. All of our new kitchen appliances are part of the Frigidaire Gallery family. I could not be happier with my purchase. The stove heats quickly, cooks evenly and is super easy to clean and maintain. Even after cooking with hot grease or accidentally spilling something on the burner, I am able to easily clean the stove top and restore its shine in just a few short minutes. I have a large family-every dinner feels like I am cooking Thanksgiving Dinner, the stove top handles it like a champ! I have no regrets going with the Frigidaire gallery brand of appliances in our new kitchen. I could not be happier!

I bought it in 2006 and it is still going strong, the only reason I bought a new one (not installed) as the old one is working good, but the glass is broken a bottle fell out of my kitchen cupboard above the stove and cracked the top around the edge a long time ago but now part of the cracked glass got bigger and came off, but the stove is still working very good, except for when turned on it takes a little time to get fired up. I am holding off to install the new one as for fear of breakage. I would also like to know if the glass could be replaced if broken. I still consider this stove top a very durable. We cook at least 5 day a week.

We want to be sure that the cooktop leaves enough room in the top drawer to be usable. I see with the junction box on the cooktop that it takes up 5" of height. Can the junction box be removed from the cooktop and installed and recessed into the wall to shorten up the overall height needed for installation? We need to have the final installation height as small as possible.
