Can I leave the racks while self clean

Hi, Jlmr! Your oven racks must be removed before a self clean. They can be cleaned by using a mild, abrasive cleaner following manufacturer’s instructions. Rinse with clean water and dry. Hopefully this helps. ~Briana

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kitchen Gut and remodel from Surprised at how long it takes to preheat. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought all new Frigidaire Professional appliances for my complete kitchen remodel. This wall oven model has what is called a "hidden baking element" which means you cannot see the heating element on the bottom of the oven. I did not know this when I bought it but apparently this causes the oven to take (what I consider) an extraordinary time to preheat - up to 20 minutes to get to 350. So you have to plan accordingly when you want to use it. The blower turning on and off while cooking took some getting used to but I guess this is because it is wall mounted and needs to cool itself during use.

From day one we have been largely disappointed by each of the appliances. Specifically with the wall oven it is extremely noisy with the fan sound being significantly louder than any other wall unit that we have ever had. The time is also so quiet that you cannot hear it when it alerts at the end of the setting. Additionally, the unit exhausts a tremendous amount of heat back into the kitchen. The oven does seem to cook okay, if you can get past these other issues. If we had know this prior to buying, we would have gone in a different direction.

I find that my food is cooked evenly and is even forgiving with having to have baked good in longer than the suggested time. In my old oven, my baked goods would burn, but for some reason, with this one, they do not burn and I get a more even color all around. The only thing that I do not care for is that the knobs and the touch screen are super sensitive. So when you are cooking on the stove stop, you body can turn on the the touchscreen or move a knob with just the slightest touch. Other than that, it is great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lina from Seriously regret purchasing this oven We purchased our wall oven just over a year and a half ago and we are already having maintenance issues with despite the fact that we hardly ever use it, and of course the warranty runs out after a year! It's stopped heating so we need to pay to have it repaired. It also glitches out if you set the temperature before you select the function, and won't turn on/preheat so you have to be careful with that. It heats unevenly, and its quite loud. It is by far the most expensive oven I have ever purchased, and the worst. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a wall oven and avoid the headaches this one will cause you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by McShave from Can't recommend this oven We bought this oven because my wife wanted to match the handles of our other Frigidaire Pro appliances. We have been very disappointed. Here are the Pros & Cons we have seen thus far: Pros: - Pretty even heating but takes some getting use to. Currently we are still accidentally overbaking most items - The no fingerprint finish on the stainless steel works very well Cons: - As someone else mentioned the convection fans are very noisy. Would expect more quite from a "professional" model - Also as someone else mentioned the timer is difficult to set, the touch interface on the glass is very inconsistent - When the timer goes off it is almost ridiculously quite. Seriously Frigidaire, who thought this was acceptable? If you are in another room or even if there is reasonable background noise in the same room you may not hear the timer go off making it pretty useless - Oven preheats slowly, slower than the 30 year old oven it replaced Wish we could redo and get something else. Cannot recommend this oven that despite being labeled "professional" has so many shortcomings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I lived in a rented condominium for many years and avoided baking because the oven would not only heat up the kitchen but would also overcook everything. We finally grew up and bought a house and got this fantastic oven as part of the builder's upgrades. In addition to the sleek design which I loved so much that we purchased the matching refrigerator, it is such a joy to finally have a fabulous appliance that works like a charm as well. It took me a bit to realize that it is a convection and conventional oven, so I was very excited to realize that I got even more than I had expected. We love it!

The fan motors are loud and noisy - pre-heat is slow and you have no idea what temp the oven is on other than just trusting the settings. So far the cooking is okay but bought it mainly to match the microwave/oven that is above it on the wall. In reading some of the complaints these same issues have been around for years and Frigidaire has done nothing to resolve them. If I had it to do over again I would have gone with another brand.

We love having so many options (no preheat, convection, regular). LOVE the no fingerprint finish and how sturdy the entire unit feels. We could not give five stars because the fan is loud and the timer(s) is not. I can live with the fan noise, but I really need to be able to hear the timer go off. I shouldn't have to stand next to it watching the timer, as that defeats the purpose of having a timer. We would also like a more exacting temperature control.
