Rated 5 out of 5 by segmc from Best ever cooktop! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Faster than gas - yes, it is so. I prove it to my friends when they doubt me… Faster than electric. Very EASY to clean. LOVE that the buttons are on top of the counter so they're away from little hands. I am thrilled that when I'm cooking something messy I can put down a paper towel, and then my pan, and I have no mess… The changes between temperatures are immediate and when I turn the heat off it does not leave a hot burner. For me it is the best thing for my little grandchildren should they get curious or want to help. I can't imagine ever wanting to go back to the slowness of an electric cooktop and most certainly don't want to have the hassle of cleaning a gas cooktop. I've had both and should've done induction a lot sooner!

We are still getting used to how quickly induction heats and how hot it can get, but overall, it's such an amazing change switching from traditional electric to this. We'd been warned about how easily dutch ovens can scratch the glass surface and I did purchase teflon burner covers to try to protect it, but even when we haven't used the covers, I haven't noticed scratching. It is a bit noisy when operating, it sounds like fans blowing and can be a little high-pitched, but it's not really that big of a deal to me. I really love this cooktop. He had ours custom painted to match our oven and dishwasher for a 1960's look.

The cooktop heats so evenly. I can keep warm, summer, and sear better than on my gas cooktop. I can boil 4 quarts of cold water in less than 2 minutes. The surface is easy to clean and is very durable. I love the fact that this product had knobs instead of those annoying touch screen displays. For the money you would be hard pressed to find a better cooktop.

Everyone said gas is the way to go....but frankly I've cooked on electric for the last 20 yrs and wasn't interested in learning to cook again. The induction cooktop is everything it says and more! Super even cooking and quick! I love the feel of the cooktop itself. It's not smooth like glass like my old cooktop, it has a texture to it that seems more durable and less condusive to to scratching. No more instantly baked on " boil overs". It just wipes clean. I love the dials as well as the digital read out of the temperature and am anxious to try out the griddle feature. Great buy!

Complaint number 846980, started in July of 2021. With a newborn baby and the stove going off all night long for about a year I hope you can understand how absolutely frustrated we are with your service

The new cooktop was bought specifically because it knob controls and 18 power levels (plus a power boil). The ceramic glass cooktop is easy to clean. Pans heat up quickly and control is great... especially useful when using a pressure cooker. The stainless steel trim across the front gives a smart look to the kitchen. The cooling fans for the induction power units are not loud enough to be distracting. As of this writing, the cooktop has been in use just over 2 weeks

Rated 4 out of 5 by royr from Great cooktop, lose the bridge [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop works well, it is powerful and sturdy. The knobs are much more intuitive than touch controls. The one thing I would change is to get rid of the "bridge" controls. First of all, the knob is confusing, not like the others. Secondly, I have yet to find an induction compatible griddle that fits the zone and is smooth surface. Perhaps for this price, Frigidaire should supply a suitable griddle. However, just leave off the bridge controls, it is easy enough to turn two knobs if you want to adjust a big surface temperature.

It replaces an Electrolux Icon that gave up the ghost after 15 or so years. We love the knobs and will be much more satisfied when the granite yard gets the frame installed on my counter so the cook top won't fall through the hole that was cut for the Icon!! This cook top is quiet and cooks evenly. Love the bridge option that allows use of two elements for griddles or large pots. Have been using it only a couple of weeks, but can see that it will be just what we need in our kitchen.
