Description

The Standard top water entry water heater from Giant® features the Ecopeak® technology and is equipped with (3) elements of various wattages as well as a safety valve and factory installed heat traps. The interior of the tank is coated with a blue cobalt glass enhanced with zircon, a feature unique to Giant®. This water heater is equipped with adjustable thermostats with automatic temperature control. Its high-quality magnesium anode offers an excellent protection against the corrosive effects of water. In addition, its GreenFoam® ecological foam insulation contains no HCFCs, CFCs nor VOCs. A 90° elbow drain hose is provided with each residential electric water heater. This product is manufactured in Canada and is backed by a 6-year limited warranty on tank perforation and 1-year warranty on parts. To benefit from the warranty, the water heater must not be laid on its side during transportation.

Ecological Attributes

This water heater is equipped with three elements to reduce electrical demand during peak hours (morning and evening), which helps balance collective electrical demand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JoJet from Bad quality I bought this tank July 2022 after 5 days of installation there was a leak at the bottom, i called Giant company and they sent 2 technicians they said it was lose the 4 bolts on the bottom elements. They tightened the bolts everything is fine so they left after 2 hours the bottom elements came off to the tank and leak cold water at the bottom, the small pipe and the metal plate not welded its only a weld spot. Hopefully they need to hire a good quality control before they send out to the market because it’s pain on the back cleaning up the water on my basement. I will not recommend and buy next time this product of Giant lesson for us!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vicky from Amazing service by Giant I bought it after my previous tanks leaked but there was noone available to ship and install within 2 weeks in the pandemic days. So I had to rent a truck from 3rd party (truck rental not available either at store during COVID pandemic) to tow it home and install it myself using flex connectors. I did a mistake in installation and burnt the upper element (lesson learnt, its very important to remove all the air from tank by filling it up with water while hot water faucet is left open to remove air). So, I called the Giant helpline and they sent a technician within 18 hours and replaced the element as courtesy. Very impressed with the service of company. Also hot water tank is doing well for about a month now and had no issues. I would highly recommend the product and service of this Canadian company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BenJol from Satisfait les attentes J’ai lu beaucoup de commentaires très opposés sur ce chauffe-eau. Même la préposée du magasin réno-dépôt me déconseillait l’achat. Pourtant, c’est une recommandation d’Hydro-Québec pour la gestion de l’électricité responsable en période de pointe. Il faut juste bien lire les spécifications du fabricant et les prendre au sérieux. Ce chauffe-eau est pour une famille de trois personnes qui consomment l’eau chaude raisonnablement. Si c’est votre cas, il n’y a aucune inquiétude à y avoir sur la capacité à fournir l’eau chaude. Reste à voir si il résistera aux années.

Très insatisfait, l’eau chaude prend une éternité à venir, et l’eau chaude est plus tiède que chaude. L’Eco Peak de Giant ne vaut pas la peine. Achetez un chauffe-eau plus performant svp. Et dire que nous serons pris avec ce chauffe-eau pour un bon bout de temps!
