Since this is a wall-mounted, fully adjustable wall sconce, you would assume the designers took into consideration needing to securely mount it to a wall. I didn't even bother using the cheap, too-small, too-weak wall anchors that came with the product, I drilled one hole directly into the stud and I used a butterfly anchor to drill the 2nd hole into the drywall. You can't have both holes in a stud because of the bad design. The wall bracket was as secure as possible and I attached the lamp housing with the two miniscule screws provided. It looked good for maybe 15 seconds. Then I tried to adjust the light and the entire thing started pulling from the bracket. The bracket was secure, but the lamp is so heavy that it pulls the cheap, thin sheet metal bracket completely out of shape. Piece of garbage. Do not buy. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Installation looked do simple..it was,the wall bracket went up easily..but when I attached the lamp to the bracket if sagged,pulled away from the wall bracket at the top Instead oh a centre bolt to attach it it needs bolts top and bottom .it swivels on the centre bolt. It's a nice looking lamp that would be functional if better designed.i used it as a plug in not hard wired.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ChristieL05 from Awful Design As the other reviewer stated, the lamp is too top heavy/lopsided weight for the mounting plate to stay secure on the wall. As soon as you move the swing arm, it pulls the plate of kilter and slides off one of the mounting screws. Definitely avoid this if you don't want to unnecessarily ruin your wall.

All over the internet I’ve been reading how the mount for the plug-in version is grossly undersized and inadequate. I’m not sure if they’ve since improved it. The mount in question that I got had a little metal cross brace piece that I thought might be the improved version? It was all very thin metal though and it flexed. Super cheap feeling on the included mount. Not being the gambling type I decided to just use the wired version mount plate because it was very strong metal but affix it like the plug in version. I simply got some extra anchors and screws and did 4 anchors for each light spreading the weight and using the round disk wired mount. They seem pretty sturdy on the wall! The lights are incredibly heavy and solid feeling. They are absolutely gorgeous and Lowe’s had the best pricing for them I could find. I love how the switches are integrated right into the mounting cover. Dimming would be nice but I’m ok with it for the price. Once installed, they elevate the room! I’m very pleased with this purchase.
