Top tip

When a compact fluorescent light stops working, it can emit a noise accompanied with smoke. This is normal. Do not throw them in the trash, but bring them back to the store. We recycle them.
Deciphering the packaging
Are you confused when reading the packaging label? You’re not alone. Here is the meaning behind the terms used. Learn then, and you can then make the “bright” choice!
KELVIN
The colour of a lit bulb is measured in Kelvin (k).
The lower the number, the warmer and more orange the shade. The higher the number, the more the light will be bright and cold, much like the light of day.
LUMEN
We measure the intensity of the light in lumens. A 450-800 lumen light is suitable for reading, while a bulb with 1000-1600 lumens is more suitable for lighting a standard room.
WATT
The quantity of electricity used by the bulb is measured in watts.
LUMEN/WATT
This is how we measure the energetic efficiency of a light bulb. The higher the number, the less it will cost electricity wise.

DIMMERS LIGHT US UP
Replace your light switches with dimmers. These allow you to regulate the intensity of the light according to your needs. With this replacement, you can prolong the lifespan of your bulbs and reduce your energy consumption.

Good to know

Before buying your light bulbs, verify the label to make sure they are compatible with a dimmer.
