Description

Hisense Energy Star-certified 1-speed dehumidifier is a compact size unit designed for smaller spaces and is easy to move between rooms for optimal comfort throughout your home. It quietly collects water into the slide-out internal bucket, or can discharge the water via connecting a garden hose (sold separately) through the side of the cabinet. Does it have auto restart after power failure?

Rated 4 out of 5 by TXShopper from Noisy little machine but does it's job.. Although this little machine is rated for only 1000sq/ft it does a good job on the downstairs of my 2300sq/ft home. Probably will upgrade to a larger one though simply for the reason that this thing is noisy!! When the fan turns on it's not all that bad and is the equivalent to a room fan on medium. When the compressor though kicks in to start dehumidifying the air then the volume on the TV has to go up.. and it's in the other room. I have it set for 50% and it's been doing a good job keeping the downstairs to that or just below based on the humidity sensors I have. Probably work good in a basement or a room you aren't actually "living" in but it's too noisy to have sitting in a room you're sitting in as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a storage room built off the side of my garage; I chose not to have it insulated and it seemed to be very humid inside. I tried the Damp-rid containers and they worked well - but they filled up in about a week's time! So I knew I had a more serious problem with humidity. Since my purchase of this dehumidifier I can just tell by walking into the space it's better. I live in South Carolina, near a creek and I have to empty the unit twice a day!! The unit is working well and it's doing the job for me. I obviously had a more serious problem than I thought. I'm very happy I bought this, and hope it continues to do the job. Rated 3 out of 5 by Dan from DH-3019k1w I would give this unit a 5 star rating except for the water tank. It is a disaster to try and empty. A sure case for getting a gallon of water dumped on the floor. To empty one must carefully grasp at the recesses on each corner and slide it out, keep it from tipping until the inside handle can be flipped up to control it. One slip and it spills outward. I finally installed a plastic handle on the out side face to pull it out with and have it under control.

After an extensive tear-out of decades old damp sheetrock and a mortar lath mix, the basement was on its way to becoming a dry(er) basement. I've been running this dehumidifier ever since. I don't keep it running constantly; the bucket fills with water and shuts off automatically, that way I can keep track of how much water is being collected. So far the Hisense 30 has been running consistently and reliably.

It's a must-have in our humid Georgia climate. This is a sturdy little workhorse that does exactly what I need it to do. Noise level isn't a factor because the storage room isn't near any living area. Contractor installed so it drains outside the house, so no emptying the bucket, though it's nice to have both options. Easy to set up and does the job. Have a larger one of same brand in garage, and it's worked like a charm for almost 5 years. Would recommend this brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shocked from Excellent little trusty device I bought the Hisense 25-pint dehumidifier for our basement and was amazed how well it worked. Within a day the humidity level was brought down to a minimum which instantly changed the air quality and out general feeling in the basement. It felt like it was another room of the house instead of a dark damp cellar. If humidity levels are high, 25-pints are enough to run it for a day and night but then the container has to be replaced, which is ok for our purposes. I highly recommend this device.

We have extensive damage from Hurricae Michael with our roof still leaking so we needed something to keep the humidity down until we are able to get our building repaired. I would recommend this product to others.

After the first couple of days, we noticed a big improvement. It runs about 8 hours before it's full and you have to empty the container. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it is noisier than I expected. Overall great dehumidifier.
