Rated 1 out of 5 by Midnite from Stay away I loved this thermostat, but after it started turning off and on by itself I started to get a little worried. I called Honeywell and it took 10 mins before I spoke to a customer service rep and he told me to check the voltage to and ensure it was getting between 20-30 volts. I went out and got a voltage meter and I had the correct voltage, I called back and wait 15 mins on hold this time only to be told that I have a faulty thermostat and my 1 yr warranty was up. Stay away from this thermostat!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Canv from Only lasted 6 mths Bought this to replace an older model (8320-wi-fi) also. set-up is much simpler than the old ones and new options including programming fan. We want it for the smart adaptive recovery option for energy usage. It worked fine until this week when the 'smart adaptive technology' failed to work. Went through doing a 'reset to factory default' expecting it to work and today found it is still not working. For the price you pay and the warranty I would expect better. Our last one may have to be re-installed if Honeywell won't come through. I'm now concerned about their products.

Installed the first unit (simple) and everything looked normal. That is until I ran the heat cycle. Sensor couldn't get an accurate temperature reading. I had my old thermostat plus 2 other thermometers all within 1 inch of this unit, and the Honeywell readings were off by 2-3 degrees celcius. I set the temperature for 23 degrees celcius (temperature in house was 21 degrees celcius) and immediately the unit called for heat. Good! But within 1 minute into the cycle the thermostat read the house temperature as 19 degrees celcius. But it was just telling me it was 21 degrees!! I let the unit run until it hit 23 degrees and 30 seconds after the heat turned off, the unit was displaying a house temperature of 25 degrees celcius. Called tech support (sigh) and was on the phone with them for well over 1 hour. The tech guy finally conceded and suggested maybe I have a faulty unit and to return it to the store of purchase. So....I went back to Lowes yesterday and got a new unit. Installed it. Waited. SAME THING. This unit cannot track the inside temperature worth a darn. I like the look of this unit but I cannot afford to have my furnace run for 1 hour just to bring the room temperature up .5 degrees celcius! I can only imagine my gas bill. I do not recommend this unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TomN from Malfunctional Thermostat/Terrible customer support The thermostat keeps running indefinitely even though it reaches the set temperature during night time(bed time). It would follow the set point when I increase the set point. This thermostat is terrible after the factory warranty. The technical support person debates the thermostat should keep running to maintain the set temperature until it is "satisfied" with the set point whereas he should have tried to solve the problem. Thanks Honeywell.

I found out product was already registered to another user. After an hour getting that fixed it does not context to wifi 6 modem only older modem in house will work. It also has issues when you try and adjust temperature higher then programmed and will seem to allow adjustments intermittently.

Rated 1 out of 5 by frank6 from Piece of junk Piece of junk. The backer wall plate is made of thin cheap plastic, thermostat would not snap well to backer wall plate. Electronics board was loose, and when I pulled it out the 2nd time, the connector pins/block came with it. Thermostat no longer works because of this. Will be returning and installing the older style model which is built a lot better.

Lots of different screen colours to choose(match your décor), dim your wall screen function, and of course a very easy to use app that I can access from my mobile phone anytime. Love this product!

I like this a lot. Make sure to set up the proper settings for your specific heating/cooling system and it will run like a charm.
