Rated 4 out of 5 by Rich from Good, but,,, The cover seems to be well made, however the iconic red Kamado Joe kettle symbol and the word Joe don't really look good in pink. I've had the cover 3 months and the red has rapidly faded to pink, and may fade away within a few more months at the present rate. I've had a cover for my gas grill from a major manufacturer that features their red logo. The color on it has not faded in five years of exposure and use. Kamado Joe needs to look into options for their red color. It doesn't affect the operation, it just doesn't look good for such an otherwise well made line of products.

This is actually my second cover in the space of two months - the first one blew away in the wind, despite being tied on tightly with the draw string. It's a very light cover, so if you live someplace windy, you'll need a secondary tie down (I'm now using a carabiner attached to the draw string). Also, since it's essentially like a PVC rain coat, it will probably melt easily. So keep it away from embers and don't try to the put the cover on until the grill is very cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CPinTupelo from Keeps your Joe clean and dry but breathes well Most covers on the market either aren't waterproof or they are and don't breathe causing condensation/rust/mold to form. The Big Joe cover allows for adequate airflow up and around the grill so it stays dry from inside as well as outside.

I’ve only had this cover a few months but so far it’s held up. We’ve had a couple winter storms come through placing a foot of snow on top of my grill now that it’s melted I checked and the cover is intact and grill is dry. It’s stayed put during a few bad windstorms as well. It seems to be well made and durable.

The one purchased 4 months ago is already badly faded, pictured on the right. The cover purchased 4 years ago is holding up great. The newer cover provides almost no protection for rain either. It seems to trap water underneath more than keeping it out. There is water under the cover for a day or two after it rains. You’d probably be better served not using a cover at all. I would not recommend this cover.
