Rated 5 out of 5 by Jakep80 from Nice countertop oven [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Kitchenaid countertop digital oven about a week ago. It comes with one wire rack, a small cookie sheet, and a wire roasting rack that fits into the cookie sheet. I have cooked in it about 6 times so far and it has lived up to my expectations. It preheats quickly, it toasts bread with ease. It take alot less time then a traditional oven. One of the features I like is that it has a digital countdown for how long your toast or bagel have left till it is done. It has cooked my kids frozen chicken tenders and pizza with no problems. Overall it is a great addition to the kitchen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Threemeowers from Not high enough to cook a small chicken in I must say I am extremely disappointed that this version will not accommodate a chicken unless you cut it up so that it lays flat. We have a much older version of a similar model that stopped working after 4 yrs so we replaced it with this model , the interior capacity of that older model accommodated the height of a regular size chicken. The new version is longer so it fits a tad larger pan, but is not as tall so something like a chicken or a roast hits the upper heating elements even on the lowest rack setting. I am so disappointed this is not going to work as well for us as the non digital older model from years past.

After about 4 minutes of cooking time, my kitchen started smelling like burnt plastic. Tried opening the door to the toaster oven to remove the food, only to end up with just the handle, detached from the unit, in my hand. Needless to say I won't be buying from Kitchen Aid again. Such a disappointment.

Buy this one and there will be no confusion. This oven is sleek and looks good on my kitchen countertop. It is easy to use. It is also a very quiet appliance. My food comes out cooked evenly and it is less to clean. I was able to put casserole dishes in it to cook for thanksgiving and it allowed me to serve everything hot on time. This is a must have for everyone. I am now cooking in the future of appliances and so glad this is in my kitchen. This product makes my life easier. Plus knowing it is KitchenAid it is made to last!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rosita's Mom from Not big enough for an average roast or chicken I have many KitchenAid appliances and like them all. For this countertop oven I would like to know what size of roast it can accommodate? I recently tried to bake a 500 gr ham but had to use my full size oven as the upper heating elements would have ended up in contact with the ham. Having the controls on the bottom is nice, but you sacrifice height inside the oven. In my old KitchenAid countertop oven I could cook prime rib roasts, chickens, etc without having to worry about the food touching any elements. On the upside - it makes great toast. I would recommend this to a friend, but with the proviso that they check to see what it is they want to cook.

My husband likes to use it for a few cookies or frozen pizza. The preheat function is nice, but doesn't give you an indicator when it is heated, it just starts counting down on the timer. It cooks fairly evenly, but does tend to cook a little hotter than a typical oven - for example, the cookies tend to be a little crisper on the edges. It is quiet and doesn't have a lot of unnecessary noise when using it. It looks really nice on my counter and has replaced a toaster oven for us with added features.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anita Bathe from Second one -Limited Life- Kitchenaid Quality Awful Don't know if these are being made in China or Mexico or somewhere out of the country because it sure does not do the KitchenAid reputation justice. Both units failed to toast! Heat unevenly so you get something half baked and half raw. Had better luck with cheap toaster ovens of any brand than these machines. Never again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brandon11 from Stopped working after 2-3 months. Put on broil and the handle melted off after 5 minutes. Then the whole unit stopped working a month later. This thing lasted about 3 months before it wouldn’t heat up anymore. Total junk!
