Description

This KitchenAid® chimney range hood combines sleek style and modern functionality. The perimeter ventilation system efficiently pulls air from the edges of the hood up to a 600 CFM airflow and efficiently clears smoke and odours. Using the Whisper Quiet® system, the wall-mounted range merely produces 1.5 sones at slow speed, allowing you to leave it on even while eating. The electronic glass touch controls make it easy to select one of the 3 venting speeds. The auto-speed setting automatically adjusts the fan speed to protect the cabinets while the sleep mode turns off the fan after 10 minutes of inactivity. The range can easily be converted into an in-line blower installation for a more quiet installation or even into a non-ducted range using a recirculating kit including a charcoal filter (sold separately)

600 CFM/65K BTU Threshold allows installation over any KitchenAid regular 36- or 30-inch range or cooktop, and some commercial-style cooking surfaces with outputs up to 65K BTU
Perimeter Ventilation increases ventilation system efficiency by pulling air from the edges of the hood and speeding up the movement of air at the center, allowing it to efficiently handle up to a 65K BTU total output
Auto Speed Setting takes the guesswork out of protecting cabinets from steam, grease, and moisture by automatically adjusting fan speed to ventilation needs depending on the heat being produced
LED Task Lights provide extra lighting over the cooking surface to help in the cooking process
Halogen Night Lights enhances the style of the ventilation system by providing soft, accent lighting in the kitchen
3-Speed with Boost Function (10 Min.) enhances performance when using high-temperature cooking techniques by providing a timed, short burst of high-speed ventilation to effectively filter steam, grease, and odors from the air
Whisper Quiet® System at 49 dBA (1.5 sones) at Low Speed ensures that the ventilation system operates at a quiet level so it can be used while entertaining. At maximum speed, sound level is 65 dBA (5.4 sones)
Dishwasher Safe Grease Filters reduces steam, grease, and odor by obstructing the path of vented air to help capture more steam, grease, and odors as they are drawn through the vent
Easy In-line Conversion converts from a traditional set-up to an in-line blower installation for an even more quiet operation. Metal box purchase required

I was very adamant about purchasing a high-quality functional hood for my personal home. I've had this hood for three weeks and love the features and functionality of it. As it functions much easier than most of the hoods I encounter in my day-to-day life.

The hood on the top left was lower than the right side. Finally the 3rd hood was even and was installed. JB Hunt installed and our hood fell off the wall. From installing 3 hoods and taking down 2 there was a hole in the sheetrock. They didn't even use a washer. Thankfully I was standing there when it came off the wall. They had someone come back to correct the issue.

The color and look is sleek and classy. Love the performance - the auto fan is a feature I didn't this I would need but its what I use 90% of the time - the lighting is bright and perfect for cooking in addition the soft light feature is a great accent. Cant go wrong with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AmandaF from Looks Great but the Mounting Needs More Support I cant speak on the functionality of the product as we just installed it and haven't hooked it up yet. For such a nice unit, it was a shock to see how it little you had to go on for it to be mounted. The only recommendation I can give is to hope you hit a stud or have some blocking behind this unit. Its not super heavy but, heavy enough to be concerning if you don't hit a stud.

Best looking vent we saw. Love the features and the efficient way it removes odors. Lights are very nice and useful as is the auto feature.
