Description

This hood is specifically designed to allow installation over any standard 30" or 36" KitchenAid(R) cooktop or range and some commercial-style cooktops with 65,000 BTU maximum output. Perimeter ventilation improves the efficiency of the ventilation system by pulling air from the edges of the hood and accelerating airflow in the center. Automatic turn on setting helps protect your cabinets from damage by automatically turning the vent on when it senses the presence of heat, while the speed control system automatically adjusts the vent speed depending on the level of heat being produced. LED lighting effectively illuminates the work surface, while halogen lights provide soft, elegant lighting in the kitchen. This device features the Whisper Quiet operation, which emits only 49 dBA (1.5 sones) at a slow speed. In addition, it converts from a traditional set-up to an in-line blower installation for an even more quiet operation (metal box purchase required).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joyler from Beautiful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are slowly remodeling our house we bought two years ago and we just got this beautiful piece that goes above our large island only a few down sides it did take two days to install instead of two hours and the top of the black stainless steel that goes into the ceiling that’s exposed is a little jagged since it was not precut to fit and will need a custom wood piece put around it to cover it up and a small clip was not put in it on the top to keep it flush so it sticks out on the side but those were all due to the installation not the product

So I took down my kitchen/living room wall to give it a open concept for better entertaining while cooking. Everyone comments on how professional the kitchen looks. I am well pleased with the performance with this unit and more so of the ease of installation. The instructions were simple and had it installed in about 3 hours, not bad for a couple of rookies.

A beautiful looking appliance with easy to use controls and enough lighting to cover the surface of the Kitchenaid range. My only disappointment was trying to explain to customer service on the need for parts to install the unit. Here in California, the code standards requires a shorter installation bracket to house the unit. The on-line catalog doesn't have parts for this, nor did the customer service agent have any knowledge to help. In the future, hopefully parts to accommodate different building codes in each state can be available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Robbie-o from Very Efficient for Handling Cooking Chores! The hood is used daily in the kitchen. The auto fan feature quickly senses and vents heat/smoke. Manual fan settings are more useful when searing and browning. The lights are great and completely illuminate the cooktop. The vent pulls so much greasy air that it is necessary to clean the filters on a weekly basis. It makes me wonder where it all went before the hood was installed. The filters are easy to clean in the dishwasher. Overall, a great addition to the kitchen!

I have been using the hood for about three weeks and couldn't be happier. It is beautiful and works great. I love all the great features and the fact that it is so quiet. No problems to date. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remodeled our kitchen added a hood over the stove, there was not one in the house prior. Love having a way to vent now. The only issue I have is the controls are not light up, so you have to have a light on to see which button to push. They need to add a light behind the panel, other than that it’s a great product!
