Description

This Kobalt 24-V cut-out tool has a powerful brushless motor that provides 28 000 rpm and is the perfect tool when working with drywall. Its slim body design allows it to be used in tight spaces and also provides easy portability. When using a fully charged Kobalt 24-V Max 2.0 Ah battery (sold separately) and the included 1/8 in bit, this tool can cut up to 90 linear feet in 1/2-inch drywall. Its soft start feature allows you to keep complete control of the tool from the moment you push the trigger, and it also sports a built-in LED light with afterglow. This cut-out tool comes with Kobalt's 5-year limited warranty and is compatible with all Kobalt 24-V Max batteries (sold separately). Tool only.

I like the fact that it takes 1/4 and 1/8 in bits. Shouldn't have a problem cutting through much of anything down the road.

I can actually have a normal conversation while using the Kobalt. Comfortable to hold and performs well. Feels very well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Matt from Great Addition to my Kobalt tool set This tool was invaluable in finishing a spare room in my basement. Being able to quickly, cleanly cut out for can lights, access panels, outlets and registers was worth the reasonable price all without lugging a cord. I think the things I liked mode about this tool was the soft start, LED light that's actually useful in illuminating the location of work, and the manageable size and weight. I did have some troubles with the depth stop holding it's place when initially plunging the cutting bit but mostly that was user error not tightening the set screw well enough. If already have invested into Kobalt 24v and have an upcoming drywall or similar project, this will be a smart buy.
