Rated 4 out of 5 by NCJeff from Pretty Impressive [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must admit when it comes to cordless tools and equipment ,I'm not much of a fan other than cordless drill/driver,.... saws and things that need a lot of power I usually prefer gas or corded electric ,but battery technology has gotten better so I decided to buy this unit,I must say after unpacking and assembling it ,I was skeptical but after using it I'm a believer ,its lightweight but has power the battery lasted much longer than I assumed it would I did mine and my mothers houses with no problem and still had some battery left ,I love how easy it is to use and the convenience of being cordless , I can give it a thumbs up and recommend it, I would buy it again

When it came to a weed wacker, we were so tired of purchasing gas powered wackers that seemed to be constantly difficult to start. This thing you pop in the battery and off you go. Getting the extra string out is pretty simple and the battery life is amazing to me. Using one of the bigger batteries, I can often trim the yard and then use the same battery to put it in the leaf blower and get the drive way blown off and I still have half my power left over. I will highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kenp from Well Constructions Trimmer From the box, it was a breeze to snap the handle into position, add the cutting guard and handle, and put in the battery. It included cutting string but not sure the length. Battery came about 3/4 full, which is how you want to store it. Cut a whole bunch of tall grass, 2 feet tall, and it did as well as my Ryobi gas powered weed trimmer. Well built and powerful. Beyond my expectations, especially after reading reviews of Ryobi weed trimmers.

Battery life - I used this off and on for over an hour on a 1/3 acre lot and it had 1 bar left of battery. Keep in mind there are high and low settings, I kept mine on high. I never had issues with the string release, worked like a dream. This trimmer will cut down some very thick weeds, don't worry about that. Easy assembly, and easily adjustable for the hand grip. I charge the battery overnight. No problems restringing the trimmer. It's great this one has 2 strings. 24v battery is great for average size yards. My only complaint would be because this comes folded in half with the center section held together with 4 screws it can seem a little flimsy, but it's not a deal killer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by James from Improved trimmer and great customer service I had the 1st version of this trimmer and had a bump head spring issue . Called Kobalt customer care just for the spring . Since they do not cary the part they sent me to the store for a brand new one (sill under warranty). This new trimmer works better than the first one and it was a smooth no hassle exchange process.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ricky from No parts buy another trimmer Purchased the trimmer because I’m going all electric. The only problem ( which is a major one) no replacement parts available. Was trimming tough weeds and broke the head offf the trimmer. Tried to find one at Lowe’s they don’t carry any. Called Kobalt customer service was informed not covered under warranty they don’t have replacement parts only solution buy another unit is what I was told by the lady at Kobalt. Just beware no replacement parts .

Rated 1 out of 5 by mike from String winding appears to be a nightmare I have three other kobalt 24 volt tools that I like very much but the string winding procedure appears tedious with this trimmer and the instructions are inadequate. The pre-spooled trimmer line spools sold with this under "better together" does not fit this trimmer either. Will be returning unused.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Richard from Decent tool but bad batteries The Weedwhacker itself is pretty nice feels good lightweight. Does we’re supposed to. The batteries on the other hand or a different story. Took me a good six hours to charge two batteries while using it the batteries don’t seem to last as long as you would expect, I have a decent size yard and will go through both batteries And barely finish the job
