Rated 5 out of 5 by Daddyg4 from Tough flashlight [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few weeks of being tossed around in a toolbox and in the bed of my truck, the exterior of the flashlight looks new. The textured exterior is helpful in able to grip with work gloves on. The brightness on the light was good for working in small spaces - not to good for walking the dog at night. The clip was good for keeping the light in work pants but not for securing in a work place. Not sure how long the clip will last over time. Would be nice to see some accessories to help with positioning/holding to allow work with two hands. Nice light ti keep with your tools or a workbench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RobH from Great Small Flashlight [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic small flashlight. TBH it is smaller than I thought when I ordered it. It is between a pen light and a small handheld. It is very bright for a single element Led. It is machined from aluminum and seems very durable. There is a rubber bumper around the light and what feels like a sturdy rubber switch on the other end. Overall, great little light. One small gripe is with the packaging. Very tough to open even though it has the tab on the back, it is glued tight. I had to use a razor knife to open it, which can be dangerous. Something for the manufacturer to consider.

I haven’t tested it’s indestructible-ness, mostly because I like this flashlight and don’t want to drop and bang it. It feels good in your hand. Nice grip. I won’t use the clip, but it’s there. You screw the cap on/off. It’s pretty snug, but should help w water resistance. There are two levels, medium and full beam. You have to turn on and off in medium and then in again to get to high. Basically every other time you turn it on, it’s high or low. Wish there was a switch, but it’s fine. Pretty bright for a small pen light. I like this little guy!

I'm so excited that it's so lightweight and fits in your pocket or purse. I ran it under water and had no issues with it working. The high and low beam mode is nice and you can see that there's an increase in brightness. I'd recommend this flashlight to anyone looking for a lightweight, portable flashlight. Bonus - it comes with batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DickB2 from Well-Designed and Versatile Pen Light [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Kobalt brand pen light is just the right size to fit in your shirt pocket with the included detachable pocket clip (see picture) or in your car or truck in the center console. It does not take up much room, but it gives a nice strong light (100 lumens)(see picture) considering it runs on only two AAA size batteries thanks to it having an LED (see picture). It is very well-designed, as evidenced by the two O rings that protect the body of he light from water and dirt incursion (see picture). You do not see that feature in many small pen lights. The barrel has a nice textured finish for a good grip. It will not slip out of your hand very easily. I liked the push button on/off switch at the end of the barrel (see picture). I highly recommend this pen light due to its great features and design.

The Kobalt light has a very good beam signature in poorly lit places or even in pitch black. It has an attached clip so you can hang it in a shirt pocket on on a duffle bag. It takes 2 aaa batteries that are included. I haven’t tried to use rechargeable batteries yet. The push button switch is on the base of the light.

It has a metal housing with rubber around the end near the bulb as well as the on-off push button tip. Giving the button a gentle push switches it between dim and bright, which gives a noticeable difference, but the pictures didn't do it justice. The end screws on tightly and has a rubber seal inside which allows it to be submerged - the last picture I added shows it underwater in my sink. I also like the clip that allows you to clip it to a pocket or belt.

It is still small enough to be comfortably carried in a pocket. The light it produces is surprisingly bright. In fact, it is actually brighter than my 4 C-cell flashlight. I compared it with a standard penlight, this flashlight is much, much brighter. The light it produces is not at all blue, it is a warm white that is quite comfortable to see with. I did roll over the light with my truck. It was unharmed (actually, not even scratched). It feels solid in my hand and the on/off switch (located at the base of the light) also feels quite solid. I cannot say anything about how long the batteries last, but I have had it on for a couple of hours without any issue. I definitely recommend this flashlight. It would be good to have in a toolbox or to keep in the console of your vehicle.
